Delicious 2nd parter to the city- you will not be dissapointed!,

This review is from: The City: Season One Part Two (DVD)
I have to say I realllyyy hated the first part of The City, the spinoff from The Hills, about Whitney Port, the eternal sunshine LA sweetheart who comes to NY to work in fashion and finds a few (lots!!!) hurdles along the way. However, the second parter of The City is AWESOME! Everything has changed, Whitney is now back working for fashion bitch-powerhouse Kelly Cutrone and is trying to launch her own fashion line, and balance an old frenemy Roxy. Roxy is both good and bad, she often lets Whitney down, as in embarassing her at an important pitch meeting, and giving her dumb fashion ideas, which Whitney follows, yet Roxy often stands up for her friend, such as bitching out Whitney's cheating new guy. BUTTTT the best part of the city part 2 isnt Whitney, or even Kelly Cutrone, its the ever fabulous bitch fest 09 at Elle magazine between Whitney's old nemesis Olivia Palermo and the ever fashionable and unlike Olivia capable Erin Kaplan the PR director. The girls just hate each other right away, and every task that Olivia gets from Erin she f's up, when Olivia comes to boss Joe Zee, he basically either takes Olivia's side or brushes it under the rug ( YEs, this is a scripted tv show). Olivia seems to think she can just show up, look good and leave, and Erin is always ever ready to tell Olivia where to go, and the girls problems finally come to a head in the season finale. I highlyyy reccomend this part of The City, its juicy, fun, and fashionable. Its what The Hills USED to be.
