I want those wasted life hours back,
This review is from: City in the Sky (Mass Market Paperback)
Found this one in a pile of old books in my apartment building. I read it on a whim one night when I felt like turning my brain off. A typical libertarian science fiction fantasy about a space prison filled with political thought-criminals taking over a luxury space hotel and declaring a new space-republic. Total one-dimensional goofball writing. I can't say it was a guilty pleasure, as it was sort of painful to read something that bad. I say this as a deep admirer of cheesy science fiction pulp of the 1920s through 1980s. Truly bad.
