This CD is perfect for lovers of old fashioned blue grass.,

I immediately bought 5 of Citybound for gifts for friends after I heard Molassas Creek on Ocracoke Island last summer. They are even more fun in person than they sound like they would be on the CD. Fantastic banjo and fiddle music. Clever songs. Reminded me of the fiddlers conventions I used to go to as a child in North Carolina. This CD will make you want to stomp your feet and hollar yahoo!

Molasses Creek is true to their roots of Oracoke Island, NC. Great vocales and accompanyment. Truly enjoyable as are their other previous albums as well. I was on a waiting list to buy this cd when it first came out! They are great to hear live on the island, which I did last summer.

People who have found this album listen up: this music is fantastic. It is not only bluegrass or folk, it is music with a deep heart and soul of its own. Just listening to it takes me back to Ocracoke Island, the mysterious place that most people overlook. Don't overlook this music. And when you go to Ocracoke, make sure you hear this remarkable group in person at Deepwater Theatre. They are the best!
