Awesome, but tedious.
The project was a great success when it was completed. My nine year old got lots of cudos at school. However, the tediousness of the cutting and taping of the figures was tremendous. It took hours. My son cut around the figures and I had to do the really close cutting for him as he didn't have the patience or the skill.

It is what it says, but...
This book is what it says it is: 100 Authentic Union and Confederate Soldiers. It comes with infantry, officers on horseback, cannons, tents, flags and some other small war bits. The paper is an extra thick stock so the figures will stand on their own. The drawbacks: nothing is perforated, you have to hand cut everything (100 times) and there is no "battlefield" as...

This book is what it says it is: 100 Authentic Union and Confederate Soldiers. It comes with infantry, officers on horseback, cannons, tents, flags and some other small war bits. The paper is an extra thick stock so the figures will stand on their own. The drawbacks: nothing is perforated, you have to hand cut everything (100 times) and there is no "battlefield" as seen on the cover, just the figures. You'll have to make your own backdrop.
Overall it's a great resource, but limited. Not a bad deal at $3-$5. |
