This is a standard droll text book with the standard droll information. It also has helpful tips like that paralegals should know how to use MS Word, including the bells and whistles like spelling and grammar check and the thesaurus. Also, the person who had the book before was a sexist who had too much time on their hands and crossed out every instance of the word "her" to replace it with "his" and crossed out the use of "Jane Doe" and replaced it with "John Doe". But delivery was quick and before the estimated ship date.

The book was well packaged for shipping and the book itself was in great shape. I have nothing but good things to say about my first experience with amazon.com. I am getting ready to make my second purchase with no reservations. I would like to add that I received my book within less than a week. I believe it was 6 days after my order. Thanks again! You saved me well over 120 dollars and that was just one book~!!

This book is an excellent "nuts and bolts" guide to civil procedure, and the preparation of court papers. It helped me successfully defend myself from a money grab by an ex girlfriend regarding a jointly owned ranch. I fired my expensive lawyer after 18 months, and settled my case in 6 months. She and her lawyers were killing me with legal expenses. By filing my own motions, (motion for protection, motion to compel, discovery demands, motion for sanctions, etc), I was able to reverse that trend, and "expense" her into a favorable settlement.

This is a very useful resource tool for detailed step by step processes and instructions. The glossary has detailed explanations of the terminology used in the legal environment.
