As a 3L student, I have used the Emanuel Law Outline series for practically every class.

If you don't have much time for a final, the capsule summary will give you a great start from which you can succeed in your final.

I used this for an 8 hour final this past week and was SO glad I did! I bought the "Crunch Time" version for my 8 hour con law final 2 days later and was kicking myself the entire time. If you have the time to read through this book (or even just sections of it for a final as I did) it is definitely worth it. I don't know that I would recommend a book like this for a simpler subject like torts, but I felt much more confident being able to check my answers, knowing I wasn't forgetting to cross-reference another rule that I hadn't remembered, etc. With all the reading law school gives to begin with, I wouldn't use this during the semester, but I definitely plan on using the full emanual books in the future for all my 8+ hour exams! Highly recommend it.

I read "High Court case summaries" and "The Glannon Guide" before the exam and how lucky& Wise I were to go further than above mentioned books! This is a "must read" before your exam, maybe the night before. I love the outline part and the first 70 pages which explain in quick numbers how you should start answering the exam, what to look for, what kind of twists to be aware of and etc.... BUT IT, YOU WILL APPRECIATE IT and you will thank me for recommending the book!

I have only had this book for three days, but in that short period of time this book has helped me to understand concepts such as jurisdiction and service that my professor does a lousy job of explaining to our Civ Pro class. This book is very well written in plain, easy to understand words, and it is well organized. I especially like the capsule summary, which will be very helpful come finals time in December. If you are a 1L student struggling with Civ Pro, I highly recommend this book without hesitation.

Ok. Civil Procedure is tough and very dense, but this book will make your life much easier. Believe me, buy this book and avoid many headaches. If you don't have much time for a final, the capsule summary will give you a great start from which you can succeed in your final.
Also, the book provides lots a very good and simple to follow examples so that you can practice and understand the concepts much better. Also, the book has a correlation table so that you can see of your casebook is followed by this book, but don't fear, it follows most major casebooks. I leaned it to my friend in another class and he was able to use it with a different casebook.

A good book. It stands alone as a useful text and as a good reference. I own the Kindle version. Law school is a lot of reading. What a joy it is to have the book read to you. It's obviously a little slower than reading it on your own, but when there are times when it's hard to focus it's great to have it read.

I like this supplement as it is a good review of the concepts in a logical format. If you are really in a jam and need to learn fast, I might think about their crunchtime series. I have those as well.

This book gave a great overview of Civil Procedure. The review questions and flow charts were very helpful when it came time to study for finals
