3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special, June 2, 2007
This review is from: Civil War: War Crimes (Comic)
With the heroes in the Marvel universe at each other's throats, what are the villains up to? Civil War: War Crimes finds the incarcerated Wilson Fisk, AKA the Kingpin, attempting to cut a deal with pro-registration leader Tony "Iron Man" Stark. The deal could set Fisk free if he is successful in locating Captain America and his rebel followers, that is, if Tony plays his game. The rest of this TPB isn't even half as interesting though, as we get a look at the crime underworld in the Marvel universe as the Civil War rages on. Writer Frank Tieri attempts to put as much grit as he can into the proceedings here, and it doesn't always work for the better. Not to mention that there are some non-sensical plot holes peppered throughout the TPB that don't even make sense when reading any of the other Civil War tie-ins or even the main storyline itself. There's some solid artwork to be found in War Crimes, but the majority of it isn't anything special. All in all, War Crimes isn't bad, but it's not an essential pick up for hardcore fanboys either.

2.0 out of 5 stars To Complete The Collection Only, June 2, 2007

This review is from: Civil War: War Crimes (Comic)
First off I love Marvel comics and I for sure love the civil war series. That is why I was somewhat surprised that War Crimes well, left me feeling "meh". The stories didn't really intrigue me, and I didn't really like any of the character's either. Like the title says, you should only get this if you want to have the complete series, like every comic book geek should.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, June 2, 2011

This review is from: Civil War: War Crimes (Comic)
This is the worst comic I have ever read. It is nothing but gunshots and swear words. It is a vomit of undigested cliches.
