4.0 out of 5 stars Invaluable
It's too bad that, up until now, there's only been one review made on this book and it was a poor review at that. This is at least a 4 star book.

If only there was a book like this for every state with Civil War sites. It would probably do wonders for their tourism. This is THE kind of book anyone from a casual fan of the history to a Civil War buff needs...

It is a very nice picture book with quality print. It is MUCH TOO BRIEF to be of much value. It is better for a non-georgian,or someone on vacation.

It's too bad that, up until now, there's only been one review made on this book and it was a poor review at that. This is at least a 4 star book.

If only there was a book like this for every state with Civil War sites. It would probably do wonders for their tourism. This is THE kind of book anyone from a casual fan of the history to a Civil War buff needs.

The book basically divides the state of Georgia up into sections or regions and then covers those sections with fantastic pictures and accompanying captions and write-ups. This book isn't meant to give you the entire Civil War history of Georgia (it's more or less a travel book afterall), but it still gives you a sufficient amount of information to whet your appetite.

This book covers the majority of the Civil War sites in Georgia, both big and small. Even the most ardent traveller and Civil War buff will find this book invaluable. If you're lucky enough to pick this up in a bookstore somewhere you'll probably be hooked immediately after thumbing through it.

Perhaps the only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is a lack of mapping out for each specific site. It does give you enough information and given the amount of stuff you can look up on the internet you will easily be able to locate the sites before you go.
