I'm no fan of Miles' other guides. This one however deserves to be read. He covers a wide range of sites. He does not weigh them by importance, often giving as much space to the site of a monument as he does a battle. I wish he had paid more attention to the little battles in Georgia. His descriptions are shallow, but given the number of sites covered that is understandable. I have found this inexpensive volume a worthwhile companion on my trips.
