This review is from: Civilization for SNES Super Nintendo (Video Game)
This is one of the first strategy games of this type for a platform system, and one of the most successful computer crossovers. The SNES Civ is remarkably similar to the old DOS Civ. You can save your progress and the graphics don't suffer like some other cross overs.
If you've never played a CIV game before its a simple premise. Take a group of people wether it be the Russians, Americans or even the Mongolians from cave dwellers to glory. You decide everything from technological research, taxes, land management, and of course militarily. You have two options for victory conquering the world or being the first to colonize the stars. With the varied civilizations and freedom to choose your moves no two games are the same. If your a fan of the CIV games, old Nintendo games, or played this game as a child like I did its definitely worth a reboot. |
