4.0 out of 5 stars Make sure it will fit your faucet! Read on!
It may not be obvious from the picture - this thing clamps on to your faucet; it doesn't screw on. There is a rubber seal and a clamp mechanism that attaches it. So, if you have a funny-shaped faucet, it might not work for you. Fortunately, it works in my kitchen. But, I don't think it would work in my bathroom. Usage is pretty easy and intuitive. 1.0 out of 5 stars Will not fit most indoor faucets
I tried it on all 5 of my indoor faucets. Directions were non-existant and, while some claim it is intuitive, it's not really. Once I got some further instruction I figured out that ut will not work on the vast majority of sink faucets. The faucet must be narrow enough (max about 1 inch) to fit into the adapter. So fancy wider faucet casings won't work. And the bend...

So fancy wider faucet casings won't work. And the bend in the faucet must be less than about an inch max (bend to spout). There must be a bend in the faucet of 90 degrees or less. Claims to fit most...I would guess it would fit very few.

5.0 out of 5 stars Indoor Hose Connector, July 2, 2007
This review is from: Claber 8583 Koala Indoor Faucet to Garden Hose Connector (Lawn & Patio)
I have no working outdoor faucet & need a hose for watering plants, washing car, etc. I was surprised to find an indoor faucet connector & a bit skeptical that it could work. Since it was reasonably priced I decided to take a chance. It connects easily to kitchen faucet & once you make sure it's tightly attached it works great. I love it! I attach my lightweight nylon hose to it & run it outside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can adjust height works perfectly!, May 21, 2011

This review is from: Claber 8583 Koala Indoor Faucet to Garden Hose Connector (Lawn & Patio)
The first time I tried to put it I thought my God the reviews were right but then I unscrewed the bottom part which can be adjusted accoording to faucet length and now it is perfect! Also make sure that you don't make it too tight because you don't want to scratch your faucet or probably crack the connector. It is made of very hard plastic but then if you want it to last a long time just take care of it.

Just got this connector so can't give it 5 stars yet but so far so good. Before ordering I read the reviews and decided to get it and figure it out myself. Start out pulling apart the 2 pieces by pulling down on the orange band (quick release). Now you have one part to screw your hose to and the other will be on your faucet. Your faucet will ultimately be pressed into the white rubber seal. Adjust the connector by turning the black flang so your faucet head with fit into the opening. Press down the orange top so the faucet presses into the white seal tightly. Turn on water...no leaks? Tight enough! Click your hose with its piece into the connector on the faucet and you're ready!

Luckily I have a faucet that this connector fits. After adjusting the connector to faucet seat to achieve a good seal it worked as advertised. Your faucet should be no wider or deeper than 1 1/4". During the process of attaching the connector make sure faucet to seat interface is perfectly centered. I can't wait till it's time to water again :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Does a great job, if it fits your faucet, April 5, 2011

My wife and I were shocked, shocked to learn that our new house did not have an external water spigot. In order to work in the backyard, we looked for an adapter that might fit on the kitchen sink and give us some water outside.

The Claber adapter does a great job, as long as it fits your faucet. Right out of the box, I was a bit worried, because it seemed that the adapter was *just* too small to actually fit. If you find yourself in that position, remember that the lower attachment does raise up and down, which allows you to adjust the height of the adapter before clamping it on your faucet. The only real concern as far as fitting will be the width.

Our sink doesn't build up a tremendous amount of pressure, so I'm not sure I can comment on how fantastic the seal is, if you build up a serious pressure on it. It does do a perfectly decent job if your main concern is just getting water from one place to another.

2.0 out of 5 stars Won't fit traditional simple garage sinks, August 11, 2011

This review is from: Claber 8583 Koala Indoor Faucet to Garden Hose Connector (Lawn & Patio)
What you don't see here is the picture on the packaging - of a BATHROOM sink with a VERY short piece pointing down (where the water pours out) after the bend. My garage sink has a vertical section of about 2-3 inches after the bend, quite common, and it would not fit. I wish the description were better, I could really use something like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what I need it to do!, June 27, 2011

This is exactly what I needed! I live in an apartment and have a TON of balcony plants that need frequent waterings. I also have a new baby. My poor plants were not getting the amount of water they needed because I didn't have the time to lug pails of water back and forth. I bought a hose and this adapter, I hook it up to my very standard/basic issue apartment kitchen faucet and ABRACADABRA! I can water my plants thoroughly and quickly.

I would give this five stars because when installed correctly there are no leaks and it has a very tight seal HOWEVER, it did leave a small dent on the top of my faucet.

So overall, great product. Installs quickly and detaches just as quickly so I can put it on and take it off with complete ease.

Just be aware of the possibility of a dent.

i use this once every week on my kitchen faucet to attach a hose to wash my car. the kitchen faucet i've found to start bruising when i push the top orange part down to secure the water seal. after using it at least 7-10 times, the rubber contact pad has started to fall apart, and it's TINY... a millimeter off and you have a soaked shirt or counter covered with high pressure water. Next time people, make that rubber connector to the faucet a LITTLE bigger so i don't get my shirt soaked! The quick disconnects are useful and work as described. My only warning to prospective buyers is YES listen to everyone - that this only works on THIN narrow faucet heads. I remove the mesh aerator on my faucet in order for it to fit every time, and have to SQUEEZE it on. but it does work. i just need to cover the whole setup with a double folded hand towel to block h20 just in case the seal on the rubber gets moved or loose and i don't come back to a puddle on the floor. Water spraying from this at 3-5psi that could easily make it 10 feet. trust me. i found out the hard way :-p
