From the Manufacturer

The Logica Drip Kit can be used to create a variable watering circuit that is ideal for potted plants, hanging baskets and planter boxes as well as for watering small areas and patios. Choose your watering cycle by simply turning the dial to any one of the 15 pre-set programs: Every 6 hours up to weekly irrigation. By using the pressure reducer with the Logica water timer, pressure is automatically reduced and maintained at a constant pressure of 14.51psi. The in-line drippers are adjustable for calibrated irrigation from 0 to 1.6 gallons and can be easily cleaned by unscrewing the dripper itself. Operates on one 9v battery (not included). Includes: 1 ea: 65-foot 1/2-inch hose, Logica water timer, 3/4-foot pressure reducer, 1/4" threaded hose adapter, 3 ea: 1/4-inch shut-off valves, 5-1/4-inch tees, 10-plugs and 20 in-line drippers and 1/4-inch support stakes. The pros:
- nice kit using standard 1/4" tubing
- inline drippers have an adjustable throughput from 0 to 6l/h (about 2.5gal/hour)

The cons:
- hose adapter and pressure reducer are in plastic
- 60 feet of tubing is not that long
- timer has 15 preset programs as follows:
1. 2 min every 6h
2. 5 min every 6h
3. 2 min every 12h
4. 5 min every 12h
5. 10 min every 12h
6. 5 min every 24h
7. 15 min every 24h
8. 30 min every 24h
9. 60 min every 24h
10. 90 min every 24h
11. 30 min every 48h
12. 60 min every 48h
13. 60 min every 72h
14. 90 min every 72h
15. 120 min every week
If you need any other setting, you have to get another timer.

Summary:
Get the Claber Logica Basic Drip Kit (90764) that is the same kit but without the timer and goes for around $35 (not sold yet on Amazon, Google for it). Get a separate timer for your needs.

I have ordered extra basic kits to expand the watering to the rest of my landscaping. Note that you can find 100ft 1/4" tubing for $6.95 at home depot.

The directions were not very helpful when putting it all together, but I did figure out how to put together the system. I installed it and it seemed to work, but I think that the lack of good options on the timer make it a flawed product. I would like to set it to turn on 2x a day for longer than 30 minutes, but that's not possible. I'll need to replace the timer with something more detailed next year.

I am not at all impressed with this drip system. I started by installing the drippers in my plant beds first working back to the hose spigot. This was a huge mistake. Once I connected it to the hose, the fittings on the timer leaked water everywhere. Since I had already cut the hose and installed it, I was stuck with the product. I had to apply a lot of plumbers putty to the redcution coupler and the connetor for the drip tube to the timer was missing an O ring, which I had to run out and buy a replacement. The flow adjustment on the drippers themselves is not very granualar. It is either on or off, and it will take a great deal of effort to set them for a slow drip.

TIP: If you do buy this product, check to make sure all of the parts, washers and O rings are in place. Then connect the timer and drip tube connector to your spigot FIRST to ensure you didnt get a leaky one.

This is a high quality set. However, if you install all the emitters, as I did, you'll find that the pressure is greatly reduced by the time you get to the last one. A much better setup would be a 1/2 inch line with 1/4 inch out to each plant. The timer is very simple to program, I wouldn't even call it programming. However, if the presets don't work for you you're stuck. A pretty good simple to use set. Best for potted plants, not as good for stuff that's in the ground. One pretty big deal was that the pressure reducer did not thread tightly to the timer. Threads just weren't right. I had to buy a new pressure reducer from the local hardware store. I'll try some other brand next time.

This product is superb for the money. It is a bit difficult to assemble and the instructions are not that clear. However, once you figure out how to set it up to the automatic watering, it is excellent. My only con for this product, is the disassembly of the connecting water hoses. It is very difficult to disconnect and takes quite an effort to pull apart. Then there is the matter of storage of the product until you need it again. It does not come in a useable box. Hence one is left to just throw all the small and large pieces in the box in which it was shipped. Not the best way to store for future use. I do highly recommend it for anyone who might be away from home for an extended period of time and who cares about appropriate watering for their plants whether indoors or out. I would suggest setting it up at least two to three days ahead of your absence to monitor the appropriate watering level. I have five different phylum of plants among the 17 individual plants, all with different watering needs. So settings for individual plants might take some concerted time to make adjustments so that you're sure not to over or under water while you're away. Remember, if this works for you years round, this product is also ideal for such use. There was no leakage from the unit itself and it is quite reliable with its self-timer. Great Product!

the adapter that fits on the faucet leaks like a sieve. I don't know if what I got was faulty and I am trying to see where I bought this so I can TRY to get at least a replacement part. As it is it is useless!!!

I bought this one because it came with a fair number of drippers, T's etc. The product is ok and does what I needed, we'll see how it holds up. Figuring out how to set all the drippers and timer to get the amount of water needed is very trial and error, but the same may be true of other systems. The instruction book that comes with this is pretty worthless for anything.

I was disappointed in the the way this arrived, I don't know if it was the fault of the product packaging or Amazon or both. I suspect it was a return and not in original condition? Even though the shipping carton was fine the corner of the product box was mashed. One of the end plugs was removed from it's sprue and all the many other parts were just loose all over the place, there were dividers of sorts inside the package but that made no difference. I would have expected the different parts to be in plastic bags as well. Had to count everything to make sure it was all there.
