Horrible directions, consisting of only pictures. Can't tell you how many times I had to take parts off and reassemble because things fit together incorrectly and pictures were less than clear. Most of the time, had to look 5 steps ahead to verify that I had things together right.
Was able to get 350' of 5/8 hose on the reel. Could I have gotten 425' on the reel? Maybe. Would have required much more patience in winding up the rose, and I think it still would have been over the top of the hub. It does feel flimsy; however, I didn't think it felt any worse with all the hose on it, even with the hose filled with water. The handle does flex when I rock it back on two wheels so that it will actually turn, this makes me wonder how long the handle will actually last. Also, I have a feeling that all those plastic nuts they used so that they could advertise tool-less assembly will eventually have to be replaced. Much of how long it holds together will be dependent on the quality of plastic they used. This feels like good stuff, but only time will tell. Based on a magnet test on the outside of the hub, it does appear they used steel not aluminum. I don't understand why the false advertising. Two of the wheel hub caps had a single tab busted off them, but they feel like they will stay put. Something else to keep in mind is that this quantity of hose does weight quite a bit. I am 6'3" so I had no difficulties, but if you are on the smaller side, this could be an issue. With all these complaints, why give it three stars? Because, less than 20 minutes after it was assembled, I had my hose put away in the garage, and out of my backyard. However, for $200, I expected more.

Very disappointed with the hose reel. Other than being easy to assemble, couldn't find much about it I liked. Hose capacity is overstated, construction is flimsy.
Paid top dollar thinking this might be something that would last a long time, but have the feeling I might be looking for a replacement next spring. Lots of better options available, for a lot less money.

Easy assembly without tools. Well made and well designed for funtionality and assembly. Tires are durable and the frame work is sturdy. Reel rotates easily. Lots of aluminum and what is made from plastic is thick. Should last a long time.
