I received this All-Clad salad set about two years ago as a gift, and I have been very pleased with it. (This set used to sometimes come as a bonus with the purchase of an All-Clad cookware set.) Anyway, this set is a great deal since it usually costs considerably less than the 3 quart mixing bowl and the balloon whisk do when purchased separately. As of the time of my writing this review, Amazon no longer had this product available, but it can probably still be found in some specialty cooking or housewares stores.

The only word of caution that I have is that the oil, the vinegar, and the lemon pepper mixture may have been bottled or packed a long time ago if this set has been sitting around for awhile on a shelf or in storage at a store. My oil and vinegar tasted fine, but two years after I received the set, the lemon pepper mixture has lost a lot of its flavor (this set gives you more than enough lemon pepper to make salad dressing with these ingredients, unless you like yours very spicy). The lemon pepper is also great for many fish recipes, such as baked or roasted haddock.

The mixing bowl is very nicely constructed and very comfortable to hold - unlike the Calphalon salad bowl set, there is no edge that sticks into you when you try to hold the mixing bowl in place. Also, the bowl is great for serving your salad for a small group of people, especially when the salad is only a side dish to the main entree.

The whisk is perfectly constructed too, although there are less expensive whisks that will do the same job just as well as this one will.

As I mentioned earlier, this product was not available at Amazon at the time that I wrote this review, but it usually retails for about $39.99. The only thing that I wish this set had was a set of salad tongs like the Calphalon salad bowl set has. The Calphalon set, however, does not have a whisk, so you need to buy one separately if you want to mix the ingredients for salad dressing.
