This review is from: Claim (Audio CD)
From the childhood nostalgia of "Willow tree" to the tropical sound FX of "Palau", this album is virtually faultless. David Bridie's (My Friend the Chocolate Cake) plaintive vocals fuse seamlessly with acoustic rock instrumentation, classic strings and woodwind and ethnic percussion and didgeridoo in a hypnotic mix. Bridie's ongoing campaign against exploitation of the third world drives some songs such as "Terra Nullius" (the white conquest of Australia from the 1780's) and "Palau" (US military bases dominating modern Pacific islands).
