Sexy billionaires have never been my most favourite topic (shocking, right?) but Nikki and Damien grew on me in Release Me and I fell in love with them even more in this book. Nikki and Damien are hunted by ghosts of the past while facing the pressure of society and paparazzi in the present. But the beauty of this book is the fact that besides their problems, Damien and Nikki found peace and solace in each others arms. But besides serious issues, readers will get plenty of steamy ones too.

Story pics up exactly where first book ended. Things between Nikki and Damien look pretty good right now, but Nikki is worried that while Damien desires her and her body, he does not need her as much as she needs him in her life. Also, in previous book we learnt that Damien has his secrets. In this book he finally opens up and gradually reveals them all. Moreover, I really love how possesive and passionate Damien is in this book. Also, he is able to admit his mistake and be reasonable. And THAT is very sexy combination... If you did not fall for him in previous book, you will fall for him in this book for sure.

Writing in this book has a poetic feeling. As well as the story itself, writing was sensual, tantalizing and very enjoyable. Storyline flows easily and I really liked this intelligent-like style of writing. The relationship between Nikki and Damien is extremely sexual. But I found refreshing the fact that they do not use sex as a make-up tool, the act of making love helps them to overcome problems from outside and it helps them to feel grounded and safe.

Story may have been a little bit slow paced at the beginning but I never mind. I got to love main couple so much that I just simply enjoyed their sensual and emotional journey in this book to the bits. Cannot wait for final instalment in this series and see how things are going to develop for Nikki and Damien!

Claim Me is the second story in the Stark Trilogy. It picks up right where Release Me left off. While Claim Me picks right up where Release Me left off, J. Kenner does an amazing job of summarizing what happened in Release Me. It's done in a way that isn't overbearing to the current story and it doesn't take up much of the story in Claim Me. It was just enough to refresh my memory!

Damien and Nikki's story is a wonderful story about accepting people for who they are and not what you want them to be. It shows how two people, who are very flawed can let their scars hang out there and those who love them will accept them as they are. Build them up. Make them stronger. Be someone to lean on.

We learn so many things about Damien in this story. His history is not pretty. It's brutal and makes you wonder how anyone could survive that and turn out partially normal. Nikki learns that she's really quite strong. Where she thought she was weak, was actually strength. Damien brings that out in her.

One of the greatest things about this book is Damien. He's a master with words. He could build an erotic scene and ratchet the tension up using only his words. He didn't have to lay a hand on Nikki to get her (and me) all hot and bothered. His words were enough. I could imagine his voice. Like smooth whiskey going down. Mmmmm.........

Another great aspect of this story is how their relationship continued. It was refreshing to see a couple continue to learn and explore each other without breaking up and running from each other at every turn. When there were problems, they got mad, argued, gave each other space and moved on.

I really wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I absolutely LOVED this book. Damien and Nikki keep their love story going strong in this 2nd book (Claim Me) I STRONGLY encourage this series of books. I promise you won't be disappointed. The only disappointment is that we have to wait for the next book the released.

I enjoyed the 1st book of Damien and Nikki. But this one is simply monotonous... Unimaginative... Tiresome... The author is riding her coattails from the first story, and has expended NO energy in coming up with an interesting plot in this one. And I'm sorry, although I love juicy sex scenes, the CONSTANT sexual tension and sex between these two without more is simply unrealistic and boring... You have to have something more than just sex to keep your audience interested. If all I wanted was graphic sex scenes (and don't get me wrong - I love those) I would have read Penthouse forum. But I need something more to keep me engaged. I've gotten through 75% of the book (because I keep thinking it's going to improve), but I'm giving up now. I simply cannot take it. This book is NOT worth your time or money. I'm disappointed in the author...

This story is part two of this series and while this second part of Damien and Nikki's story can stand alone...the reader would get the full impact of the emotion of this story if they read the first installment Release Me: A Novel prior to beginning this second installment.

Damien Stark is power personified. He's energy tightly harnessed. A 30 year old retired tennis champion and multi-billionaire, he now runs his conglomerate empire that he's built. He craves control in all things. He's had many women, but he's never had a serious relationship until Nikki Fairchild. He met Nikki when she was 18 and recognized in her, a kindred spirit. He's been biding his time and waiting for Nichole (Nikki) to grow and mature. He knows everything about Nikki, following her schooling as well as her long involvement in Beauty pageantry. Damien Stark has many personal secrets that he keeps deeply hidden. He's a damaged soul and in deep need of healing. I especially love Damien with his commanding, domineering, controlling persona... yet he's very gentle and kind and deliciously arrogant. He always get's what he wants and he wants Nikki with a vengeance. Yowza!

Nichole Fairchild is a 24 year old former Beauty Pageant Princess. Beauty Pageantry was her life and she always vehemently detested it, (as well as her mother) - - however her domineering mother controlled Nikki's pageantry life. Since she was four years old, Nikki has always been told what to eat, where to stand, when to go to bed, how to behave...walk/talk/smile, etc. She had absolutely no control in her life. Ever. Outwardly she's "social, poised Nikki"...inwardly she's rebelling.
