Book Description

"Claimed sucked me in! Stacey Kennedy weaves together the intense BDSM lifestyle with the soft touch of a sweeter, more traditional love story in a novel with an engaging heroine at its heart."--J. Kenner, New York Times bestselling author of Release Me

A novel of erotic discovery and forbidden desire that goes beyond Fifty Shades of Grey.

Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited--and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dmitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in Dmitri far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon, igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

Claimed is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

3.0 out of 5 stars The good, the bad and the rest........ August 16, 2013
By 2shay
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The good: This is a beautifully written book. It has great style and flow by an obviously talented author. My kindle edition was perfect. If there was a single grammatical error, I am not enough of a grammar Nazi to have spotted it.

Possible Spoilers below......

The bad: The relationship. Presley Flynn, the heroine, was simply too weak and vulnerable to be involved in a sexual relationship of this intensity. She was on public display and under a whip in their second scene. Dmitri Pratt. the male lead, admitted to using his club relationships with subs as a means to control his dominate nature in his business and personal life; his sexual "dominance" appearing more like pure misplaced aggression. Not a great combination.

The rest: Okay. This is the sort of book that makes BDSM look bad to outsiders. The dynamic between the male and female is very similar to the storyline in the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy; the very story that was misinterpreted by thousands of readers as being true BDSM. when, in fact, it was the story of two deeply damaged people overcoming their issues and finding happiness together. In this story you have a young woman who has such a strong desire to please everyone that she has absolutely no emotional shields, something that the male lead addresses later in the book. He recognizes this trait in her, but takes advantage anyway. You have a "best friend" and roommate, Cora, who is already in the lifestyle who introduces Presley to Dmitri and the club scene because Presley reads a lot of BDSM erotica. Cora thinks Presley, because of her reading preference, should join a private sex club. I, and thousands of others, read BDSM erotica and would emasculate a man who tried to use his dominance in a relationship.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastically hot and intense read! August 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
4.5 out of 5 stars

Okay. Wow. Seriously! This book was smoking hot with an awesome story and I loved every single second of it! By 10% I was hooked!

I really enjoyed the first meeting between the two main characters Presley and Dmitri, I think I was smiling the entire time enjoying their conversation. It was very telling about Presley but I couldn't wait to learn more about Dmitri, he's so intriguing.

During the course of the story, Presley is trying to break herself out of her shell by doing things she secretly desires and Dmitri wants to help her. Their chemistry is fantastic and I really liked the pull they have to one another. Dmitri seems to be so in tuned with her both emotionally and sexually.

This story shares both points of view but I was more drawn to Dmitri's. He just seems to be so kind and caring. Presley is insecure in the beginning but grows throughout the book and it's nice to see her become more confident. I felt this book was really intense but it also had some really endearing scenes. I enjoyed watching the two of them grow and come together, it was nice to see their relationship evolving just like anyone's.

There are some seriously HOT sex scenes in this book. From the synopsis I deduced there would be but the author has a definite way with words and creates some really great imagery. It's one thing to read a really great sex scene but it's a whole other thing to be able to visualize all the details. I think that this book contains one of the hottest scenes I have read to date.

Beyond the sex, there is a solid story. A love story all be it far from a typical one but it worked for them. This book was an eye opener and I got slightly educated.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good. September 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm not quite sure where to start with this review. On the one hand, I liked the blossoming relationship between Presley & Dmitri. I liked the rules he has for his little house of pain and that she had a strong friend who is already in "the scene." On the other hand, I thought found some of the writing awkward (although to be fair I guess there is only so many ways to describe increased breathing, but sometimes I thought Presley may be asthmatic) and her ex's threats to be ridiculous. Back to the first hand: who doesn't like when an alpha male knocks down a weasel into his proper place?

This book opens with Cora, Presley's roommate, telling her that "he will not be expecting sex" as she leads her down the hall to an office. Actually, she grunts it at her. :-/ Yeah, I didn't like that word choice. It bothered me enough to stick with me throughout my read. Anyway, Presley is a woman who has broken it off with her high school sweetheart, Steven, after discovering he has cheated on her. She moved in abruptly with her friend, Cora, and is getting her life going. Cora discovers that her best friend reads copious amounts of BDSM erotica, seems like the submissive sort, so asks for permission to bring her to the dungeon and that's how Presley starts her journey into BDSM.

I had a problem with this. I don't see someone who has only ever slept with one selfish jerk of a man suddenly jumping into a sex club because she READS so much about it. Maybe a dominant personality would, but would a submissive? Hmmm. We later discover that she had a few experiences with Steven where he would spank her or tie her up, but that she was "just bored.

More About the Author

STACEY KENNEDY is the USA Today bestselling author of the CLUB SIN series. Growing up, Stacey's mind wandered the path less traveled and that path most often led to love. She has always broken rules and she continues to feed off emotion - staying true to her heart. Those traits are now the bones of her stories. She lives in southwestern Ontario with her husband, who puts any of the heroes in her books to shame, and their two young children. If she's not on mom duty or plugging away at a new story, you'll find Stacey camping in the summer, hibernating in the winter and obsessing over Penny Dreadful, Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy.
