Book Description

Miz has just turned for the first time, and if that exciting transformation wasn’t confusing enough, she discovers she’s marked. What she thought was just a scratch from her first night of abandon as a wolf is really her destiny. She doesn’t fully understand it, but when the High Alpha Michael arrives to take her from her father’s home by force, she learns that she’s to become the High Luna, and the responsibility to save the world from coming evil lies directly on the shoulders of Miz and her mate. Her mate…the word sounds foreign and wrong, but with his eyes and his fierce strength, she imagines she could do worse.

Claimed by the High Alpha is the first story in the BLACK LUNA series. Miz and Michael must learn to love each other while fighting against an evil older than the entire bloodline of her kind. Wolf, human, teenager—how can the two discover what path to choose when faced with the end of the world? How can they learn to be one? Polaris Young Adult Productions, bringing you the finest young adult fantasy, scifi, and paranormal fiction.

Here is a preview:

“That the best you got?!" I said through gritted teeth. Keep him away from Dad, keep him away! Away away! I sang the words in my head as I trembled and my heart beat like a snare drum. He leaned down and nipped my ear lobe.

“You’ll find out tonight," he whispered, his hot breath sending tingles through my body. My hips pushed themselves toward him. Ugh! I drew them away and my new mate chuckled.

“Still new to this…ah." His deep, hearty, sweet-as-honey voice sounded smooth as silk voice as he said the words.

“Screw you!" I yelled. He smiled at me.

“That’s your job," he whispered and kissed down my neck. Then he bit into it. I howled out in pain. He marked me!!!

“YOU BASTARD!" I screamed.

“What, do you not love me now?" he asked.

“I’ve NEVER loved you! I don’t even KNOW you!" I spat back in his face. He growled and shoved his hips against mine, slamming me harder against the wall.

“You’re hurting me," I winced. He whimpered and let go. He gave me a hug and wouldn't let go.

“I’m sorry! Believe that I would never hurt you on purpose." It was strange. I believed it. I don’t know why.

3.0 out of 5 stars I think that this has potential, but... November 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read this, well, novella I guess would be the closest description. Although it was extremely short, I think that it has potential to be fleshed out into a full length novel. The concept is interesting but it is lacking in some detail, for instance what is the back story on the character and why do things progress so quickly. If this could be filled in and explained a bit better in more detail, then I think that it has potential to be a really good novel. But as it stands, it seems sort of like an outline or short story more than anything else at this point!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not by this book for Kindle November 29, 2012
By Plants
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was really disappointed. It is not worth $0.99. It is barely 60 pages and is something that I would consider to be more of an essay. The plot is awful and the occasional misspelling or incorrect use of grammer makes sections unreadable. It is stuck on my kindle for mac and I CANNOT get rid of it. Every time I get rid of it, it goes to "Archived." It is a loop--download-delete-archive. I have tried the "remove from device" option. Again it loops.

Do not waste even a doller on this story.

1.0 out of 5 stars Where is the rest? January 10, 2013

Poor! I can't believe they charge money for less than a chapter of a book. How about finishing the novel before selling?

1.0 out of 5 stars Rip Off January 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I wish I would have read the reviews before I paid for this. This 'book' is only a chapter long at the most, and they charge way too much for that. The idea for the story seemed like it would be great, but it just didn't pan out. Don't waste your money!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Upset November 20, 2013
By Candy
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What is worth reading this story if there is hardly anything to read. Not even one chapter. I won't ever buy from this author again. Disappointing and I have bought wonderful books for 99cent that was better than this short story that made me feel I was stolen from.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short March 22, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Not really a book more like the intro to a story. I sort of felt sorry for a girl just finding out who she is and basically being kidnapped.

Okay, the entire book was more a blurb than anything resembling a story. Jumping to the point is an understatement. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars awful
I thought this was something different, but instead it was a disgusting short sex story that should never have been on amazon. I wasted a dollar on smut.

1.0 out of 5 stars Super short!
Seriously, I don't know why I went through the trouble of downloading this book. It was set up for a very good story but it was too short. Only a few more pages than the sample.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does size matter??
Ok, so the Line count was 167, so I'm not sure if it even counts as a short story. The premise was interesting, but there is really no story here. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars ??
I paid 99 cents for this... The author should understand this book is not worth 99 cents. And has ripped people off.

Good, but it is too short. I want to know what happens next. If they aren't as short as this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars So much potential!
I was disappointed by the length and lack of detail, but the plot has an amazing amount of potential. I actually bought the second one because I was so excited by the plot!
