This is a major sleeper album. A mellow album which packs a punch, "Clair Voyant's" debut is amazing to listen to. The band consists of a female vocalist, keyboard player and guitarist. The music is almost etheral, but the vocals are more powerful and more "showtunes" like than something by Enya or Kate Bush. "Her" has got to be one of the greatest songs ever written. "Heaven Knows", "Deep" and "Someday" are also fantastic tracks. It's a shame that Claire Voyant hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves. The music has more of a gothic alternative feel to it, which pretty much explains why they will have a hard time in the top 20. If you like Enya or even Siouxsie, do yourself a favor and pick up this album. You won't be disappointed.

Claire Voyant have been one of my favorite bands for about two years now. Their debut certainly has an underlying layer of darkness to it, but on the surface it is a dreamy, smooth and entirely addictive set of soulful and passionate tunes. The mood changes from one track to the next, though never too drastically.
It's hard to describe the music using genre, however. The band describe themselves as Dream-pop, but I find the name misleading. Mix ethereal, light rock and a dash of darkwave and you get... Claire Voyant. Amazing vocals, beautiful sounds and smooth composition. Highly recommended work.

Highlights: Heaven Knows, Her, Aqua, Land and Sea, Fear.

Morning Comes is the only song I routinely skip.

I'll be completely honest. This is a good CD. I like this band alot. But if you think that i am going to pay what they are asking for it, you are out of your minds. Mark this CD down to maybe 30 dollars and we'll talk.
