Everyday Techniques for Everyday people,
By Amused Soul (Woodinville, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
With all the choices there are out there for a spiritual path, I have to say i found it a little overwhelming. First you have the big names in the field, like Christianity, Islam, etc... and they've got a few too many rules for my liking, not to mention nobody seems to agree on much. Then you've got some of the 'new age' stuff, which I found to be a lot of really old stuff redone and given a new shiny cover. It was a little better, with less fire and brimstone, but most of it was a little too fanciful for me. I was new to the game, and didn't really want to jump right into spell casting and farries.
So when I found Mary Ellen's books, I was a little skeptical. The very idea of clairvoyance was still a little far fetched for me, but I was willing to give it a try. I do have to say the book was not at all what I expected. First of all the tone was very real, as though we were having a conversation. The seccond thing was the simple way she described everything. I have to say enough people out there consider themselves to be "special" because of the talents they claim to have, and here was a person who said nothing of the sort. In fact, she repeats numerous times that we are all capable of developing the very skills so many have prided themselves on having. Kind of an ego deflator for some of those other folks, but good news for me! Another thing I loved was the stories. Any teacher, whether spiritual or otherwise, draws on their past experiences to help shape how they approach their teaching today. I have to say I found many of the stories to be quite amusing, and yet helpful in showing me how the techniques she taught were used by real people. Granted nothing is more meaningful than real life experience, but I had just started reading the book, so had little frame of reference. Lastly, I have had the great honor and pleasure in meeting Mary Ellen Flora in person, and even attending some of the classes she's taught. I can honestly say i've found her to be exactly the same in person as she presents herself in her books. She is always smiling, giving gentle guidance and uplifting words of encouragement. She understands everyone's relationship to their spirituality is their own, and entirely unique, and she encourages everyone to seek their own answers. I have to say after reading her books, and getting the chance to meet her in person, Mary Ellen aproaches spirituality and Clairvoyance in a manner nobody else seems to. There was never a sense of 'holier than thou' in her writing or speach, no judgement if you disagree or prefer a different path, and an unwaivering commitment to allowing people to open to their own spirituality and information. The techniques she teaches are simple, without needlessly complicating it for the sake of showmanship or trying to make herself sound more important, and like any spiritual path the techniques require desire, and belief. It won't work for everyone, just like any way of thinking, but for those who are truely interested in healing themselves and improving their lives, I whole heartedly reccomend this series.

Clarity on Clairvoyance,
By ejp (Grenoble, France) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
Oh, how many books I have bought on this topic over the years! This is one of the precious few that actually delivers useful and actionable information. Ms Flora not only explains clairvoyance in frank, real world terms, she outlines easy to follow techniques for working with it - and incorporating it - into our daily lives. I have bought this for friends who have loved it as well. This book definitely has my vote.

I highly recommended this clearly and concisely written book. Mary Ellen Flora delivers information about clairvoyance that is simple as, I believe, all basic truth is. I have search many years for practical spiritual information with applicable and, most importantly, effective techniques to know myself. This book hits the target precisely. A refreshing and welcomed breath of neutrality!

Thanks for telling us about grounding!,
By Grounded (Cork, Ireland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
What a fantastic concept. We love grounding - thanks for sharing such a simple but yet powerful concept. This book is recommended for anyone interested in finding out that clairvoyance is not the magical mystical crap that we might imagine. I also read Male and Female energies and liked the concepts there too.

Who Knew Clairvoyance Could Be So Expensive?,
By Bhride Razi (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
I thought clairvoyance was something every human on the planet had--another sense like the sense of smell, taste, etc. Apparently I was WRONG! Clairvoyance is apparently something one must go to the author's cult and learn for upwards of $3,000! These self-published books (too poorly written for an actual publisher) are little more than tools designed to lure you into shelling dollars not only for her entire boring series but to get you to join in her cult where you to can worship her and write reviews at her behest.
As for grounding, the piece de resistance of all this author's work, it isn't something she invented nor is it anything anyone on the planet needs to pay money to "learn". Wanna know how to do it? Sit in a chair with your feet on the floor, legs uncrossed. Now, pretend like there's a cord that starts at the base of your spine and goes all the way down to the earth's core (never mind the molten lava). Now, clear you mind and imagine that anything that's in your body mind or spirit that you don't want is leaving your body via the cord. That's it. That's what all the hype's about. And that's what you too can pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to have the author's cult teach you! Wow! Look how clairvoyant I am--I see you trusting your intuition, leaving this author post haste and saving lots and lots of cash!

I love this little book,
By Z. Withmore (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
This is a great book to develop your power. The night following reading the book I have had a profound spiritual cleansing. I saw dragons and guides, snakes and experienced an incredibly real healing and cleansing. The material caused me to have that night a beautiful and unforgettable OBE during which I was taken to realms beyound reality. The excersised are useful, simple and powerfu. If for some of you this has not "produced" results - it has nothing to do with the book but rather with your levels to integrate this information and your readiness.

Amazing Reviews From Team Zombie,
By Zoe St. John (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
It's amazing what an author can do when she has a team of zombies at her disposal. Trust me, don't waste your time with these ridiculous books. If you truly want to be clairvoyant trust yourself and your visions. That's all these silly books will tell you to do and now you don't have to shell out the money to learn that! All these books are are recruitment methods for the author's so-called "psychic school". But them and you too can be forced to write reviews for crap books--not because you want to, but because the author tells you "Jesus says so."

Clairvoyance: Use It To Avoid This Book,
By Chretien St. Clair (Oregon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
Okay, so you've decided to learn about clairvoyance. You've also decided you need some help with it. You do a search and find this book which claims it de-mystifies the subject, gives techniques for using your clairvoyance, etc. Sounds good, right? Well, try this before you buy. Close your eyes, imagine there's a cord running from the base of your spine to the center of the earth, focus all your attention in the center of your head, picture a rose in front of you, then picture the rose disappearing. After you've completed all those daydreaming tasks, then ask the Universe if this book lives up to what it promises. Did the word 'no' appear in neon lights surrounded by fireworks and exclamation points? Or did you see an image of yourself crying over an empty wallet or a picture of your money galloping away from you at break neck speed? If any of these things happened, then congratulations, you're clairvoyant! Seriously, what I just described (sans the visions of loss of money) is precisely the "technique" this book teaches. No, I'm not joking. Despite what this book claims, what it really does is tell you that you're already psychic, to sit still, "ground" yourself, see some roses, focus all your attention into the "center of your head", then wait for the visions. That's it. That's all. The author yammers on and on about the power of the "6th chakra" and "neutrality". But mainly she issues forth dire warnings about the fate of those she's known who encountered her and her cult of a "psychic" school and left and what terrible things befell them for ignoring her sage wisdom.
Don't get suckered into these books. It's like being suckered into a chain letter...lots of empty promises of what fabulous things you'll get if you do as you're told and lots of dire warnings of the horrors of failing to follow directions.

Bon Voyage Clairvoyance,
By Llysette La Croiz (Freedomland, France) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Clairvoyance: Key to Spiritual Perspective (Paperback)
That's what you'll be saying to your own clairvoyance should you hook up with this author and her cult. The author promises spiritual freedoms but brings nothing but slavery to her cult to the table. Like all good cult leaders, Flora initially comes across as charismatic, humble, and oh so sweet. How could a cult leader come across as anything else? Nobody--at least not anyone a cult leader wants worship from--will join a cult with the Tasmanian Devil in charge! However, after being suckered in my her books and "psychic" readings one soon discovers the true Flora. Angry, embittered, alienated from her family, narcissistic to the point of making Charles Barkley look like Albert Schweitzer. Cult members who leave Flora's books behind are disparaged as being to "full of fear" to "have" what Flora offers. In fact, what has normally happened is these wisened souls have seen the sham of Flora's writings and teachings and realized they need none of her crap any longer. I knew a poor soul trapped in Flora's cult of personality who became completely transformed by an experience outside the cult. So enraged and jealous were the members they attempted to scare the poor child into believing she was the victim of "possession" by "entities". So psychic were they that they had not a single clue when the clever girl played Flora and her ego by using the incident to make her escape.
Seriously, folks, please stay away from this author, her books, and most especially her cult! |
