I bought this Clam Expedition in December of 2010. I had already returned a pop up of a different brand to Fleet Farm because the pole snapped while setting it up. I thought Well, clam is a good brand so I will buy a pop up from Gander. Bought the pop up and after the second time using it; the pole went through the material, A pole came out of the hub, and the material the was sewed on the bottom was ripping away. It never did fold up easy. This is a piece of junk!! You get what you pay for i guess. I do not have a receipt anymore and I stored it over the winter so too late to bring back. I also have been trying to sew it myself but to no avail.

I purchased this shanty, as did my fishing partner, and had the following results after only the second day of use: the handles to pull the pop up style sides up pulled completely out of the fabric, the black coating on the inside of the shelter came off, the hub assembly will not work in the cold weather to allow for the shelter to fold together and the zippers broke apart; This shelter is made poorly and is a piece of junk; Both of these shanties experienced the same results;

excellent ice fishing shelter. easy to carry and set up. this will be my second season with it and held up well during the first season.

I bought my clam and one of the hubs broke before i even got it set up for the first time so i returned it and got a new one two hours later took it out fishing got it set up and within 30 minutes the same hub snapped(on the short wall) returned and would only give a store credit. they told me this was a common problem with the expedition because of the rectanglare shape but clam continues to produce it save your money and buy a flip over style or one with even walls
