THis time we go to the sea and learn about the ecology of that wonderful place. Per usual, the art work is wonderful and the kids all seem to love it, which, if you think about it, is the best indorsement you can get for a children's book. This is a beginner book and between the delightful text and the same silly illustrations, makes learning actually fun for the child. This is one you will certainy want to place in your school library, if you have not already done so, and certainly one you will want to add to your child's home library collection. Loved ever page of this one.

This book uses the "Sam I Am" format as a jumping off point, and is written in rhyme like a typical Dr. Seuss book, but is actually appropriate for older kids, I would say at least over 4, and probably more for the 5 to 8 level. It's long (too long for younger kids) and has lots of scientific info. The clam is actually supposed to be making a TV show--that's why he's explaining everything. I read it to a 6 year old while we were staying on vacation at the beach, and he enjoyed it, asked for it to be read multiple times, and brought up some of the concepts from the book later when he saw things from the book on the beach.

I highly recommend this book. I purchased it for my pre-k daughter a week before our family's beach vacation. She can't get enough of it and we're still reading it one month later. I found it entertaining and engaging. The animations and story line are clever and fun - exactly what we all expect from Dr Seuss. We learned about seaweed, seagulls, tides, waves, jellyfish, mollusks and more. The most amazing part was how quickly our daughter absorbed the lessons in Clam-I-Am. When waves almost took our towels out to sea she said, "daddy, the tide is high." When we saw a jellyfish washed up on the beach she said, "daddy, don't touch it, they sting." Not bad for a city kid.

Our daughter loves the ocean and has enjoyed this book. It teaches a fair amount about sea life in classic Dr. Suess rhymes. Sometimes the rhymes are a bit forced, and there's a *ton* of information that a 5 y.o. might have a challenge absorbing. It jumps around a bit, but what kid's book doesn't?

I teach first graders about life at the beach. This book was perfect for an introduction. The children were familiar with Green Eggs and Ham, so this was a fun read.

This book was in exactly the condition I was told it would be... perfectly new. After reading through it I was so happy I purchased it. We love the ocean and I want my two new grandsons to feel the same way about it. This book will teach them about the creatures and plants that call the shoreline home so they can learn to respect their environment and take care of it in the future. I'm very pleased with the book, the condition and the service from the seller.

My grandkids and I loved this wonderful tale! I've read this to them several times over the summer while we were on the beach and a few times since then. It's a great way to explain some fun facts about the sea and beach. The illustrations and rhyme are silly and fun, and I'd recommend this book to any classroom, library or home.
