These are as good as many that are more expensive and better than many. The bulb socket is a very heavy plastic. The metal reflector screws onto the socket very tightly. This is often were other clamp lights fail.

I read the initial review and thought maybe these were made of a stronger or thicker aluminum material than some of the others listed. I was wrong.

When they arrived, and I had ordered 5 of these, they were all dented to some degree. The other thing I noticed was that I could push back some of the larger, rounder dents with my thumb and fingers, to leave somewhat of a smoother surface. No way near perfect, but more like their original shape. They are made of really soft aluminum.

Will they still work, yes, of course they will. Am I disappointed, yes, a little. The price is okay but the quality is not what I have in some of the older clamp on lamps in my work shop.
