This Geode is spectacular. The other side of this clamshell is the same as photo above where the shell is almost complete. The gray substrate is a cobination of stone, shell, soot & sand. The red is a tag string. Over 200 billion years ago this shell was buried. Not until 2000-2005 was the "wall of wonder" discovered on a private property. Scientists have now closed off the mine for research, hopefully it will be reopened in the future. A geoligist friend of mine visited the site (his buddies land) & brought back some specimens a couple of years ago. I have my small collection at home and a few for sale. I hope someone who truly appreciates this item will see it as a treasure like I have. This piece is in the best condition possible.
