I grew up seeing ads for this book in Ninja Magazine in the 80's. I finally found it and let me say, it was worth the wait. Great lessons about the real ninja and also several short stories set in Feudal Japan about the Ninja. This is a must read.

THE AMAZING TRUE STORY!
FROM THE ANCIENT WORLD OF THE SHOGUN TO THE MODERN TERRORS OF SHIBUMI, HERE ARE THE NINJA AND THEIR ART OF SUDDEN DEATH! The Samurai has long been considered the most noble practitioner of Japan's ancient martial arts. But until now, little has been known of their dark counterpart, the secret cult of the Ninja - mysterious terrorists - for - hire with their deadly practice of espionage, sabotage, arson, and assassination. Now the ancient Japanese art of Ninjutus is revealed - an art whose secrets and traditions have been carefully guarded since feudal times. Now you will learn how Ninjas develop their astounding stamina, body strength, and delicate sense of balance. Now you will witness their supernatural abilities and ultrasensitive awareness, their keen vision for nighttime stalks. Now you will know the skill that can kill - with anything from bare hands to the traditional shuriken, deadly knife-edged steel throwing "stars". Predecessors of today's intelligence and espionage agents, the Ninja have taken their dark gifts to a point beyond the purely physical. They are craftsmen of the living art of death. They are to be feared. |
