I thoroughly enjoy listening to this album. The music has a very peaceful and soothing affect. If you want calm background music while working away diligently, this is the album to get.

This entire CD is awesome. I highly reccommend it to anyone who loves Celtic music...especially Celtic music with drums. It's very moving and vivid ...the kind of music where, if you close your eyes while listening, you can envision the story the song represents.

Do you want to make a wonderful journey? Well, place yourself comfortable and switch on «Clan - A Celtic Journey». We will take a far-away trip together with brave knight Galatain to win a victory over the evil Raven who possesses the magical Talisman. In this Talisman the "invocation" is hidden, with the help of which light will overcome darkness.
Music of Medwyn Goodall will help us in this journey, because Clan is not just an album, it is the album-epos, album-poem. This time the Master turned to the legacy of the Celts - a mysterious ancient civilization, which up to the present time inspires poets and writers, musicians and researchers. Let us stop a little bit on the album music. I'd like to mark its epic and large-scale nature. Music of the "Clan" flows slowly, like a boat, hurried by powerful, not swift waves. It has grandeur and power. And with that compositions of Medwyn Goodall are beautiful and harmonious. He has used a lot of living instruments, which help to add the album music a special colorite. One can hear the Celtic harp, flute, Irish whistle and dulcimer, mandolin and guitar. All this is "cut" by melodious keyboards. By the way, Medwyn Goodall masterly plays more than a dozen musical instruments. I should say also, that his music is not only melodious, it is also very inspired. "Clan" by Medwyn Goodall is like a gulp of a fresh wind. His music is like a rising and strengthening the spirit reminding that the Powers of Good and Light is stronger than the Dark Forces notwithstanding all difficulties and dangers, and so the Dark Forces will never rule our Earth. Listen to the «Clan - A Celtic Journey» and feel in your heart the Spirit of the courageous knight Galatain! Serge Kozlovsky http://sergekozlovsky.com

There are only two Medwyn Goodall albums I really like - this one and Anam Cara. And I love them. This album I can play over and over again and never tire from it. I suggest that if someone is looking at buying Medwyn Goodall, listen carefully to the samples provided on Amazon and go with your own personal taste. This suits mine perfectly. I love Celtic music - and this was refreashingly different.

If you are looking for real Celtic music you'll have to look elsewhere. This CD is mostly eletronic music with cheesey background add ons. Do youself a favor and find some real Celtic Instrumentals. If you like Celtic music with "Dramatic" Keyboard effects you can pick that up at Wal-Mart by the candles.
