Pretty realistic game that's both challenging and entertaining, October 29, 2009
After watching the movie "Black Hawk Down" I had an urge to play a more realistic first-person shooter game than Half-life 2 or Unreal Tournament, and this game certainly delivers. The graphics is very good (I definitely feel like I was fighting in Mexico City, albeit in a city devoid of any civilians or bystanders), and the ballistic feels realistic. You definitely have to be very careful and plan your every move if you don't want to die every other minute, and this makes this game very engaging. The one potential downside of this game is that you can only save at preset points, and coupled with the challenging nature of game, makes it necessary to play certain stages multiple times in other to finish. Otherwise this is a very fine game, and I recommend that you give it a try!

Decent game, December 29, 2008
This game is okay, I'd only play it through once though, and the multiplayer is kinda fun.
Is pretty hard, even on easy mode, great game if you have a PhysX card or a GTX 200 series card though. You totally see a difference between using PhysX and going without.
I'd only consider this if your PC supports PhysX, just for that special eye candy!

Great Game Gone Wrong, August 12, 2009
This game came from a great concept and sometimes it is actually quite fun. Unfortunately, the game suffers from bugs and a very hardcore difficulty system. It is definitely not for the average gamer. If you love hardcore shooters, this game might be for you, otherwise stay away or buy the console version.
The console versions are completely separate games from the PC version. While both offer "realistic" one hit-one kill health systems for both the ghosts and Mexican soldiers, the console version is a third person soldier with different gameplay elements and the PC version has larger enemy numbers, is first person, and is much more difficult.
The PC version also allows you to control individual ghosts, which would have been fun, except that it doesn't always work. In fact, it rarely does. In the console version, you tell your ghost squad to move as a unit and the game indicates where the ghosts will go. Normally it works in the console version, but in the PC version the ghosts often move several meters away from where you tell them. This often leads to unnecessary and frustrating squad deaths.
Most of the missions are slow because you have to literally check every nook and cranny in the world to prevent ambushes from the mostly good enemy AI. If you want a very realistic game, this might suffice minus the flaws in friendly AI and a buggy multiplayer system. If you are just an average gamer without a strong interest in fps, then find a different game.
