Decent game, but different than the previous Splinter Cell games
on December 28, 2013
Overall I think the game had some cool elements. I liked the last spotted silhouette, the way the objectives are displayed, and how you can easily move from cover to cover. But, this is unlike the previous Splinter Cell games that I have played. There isn't much stealth required and you can pretty much fly through the game. I think overall it took me maybe 3-4 hours to finish the game. I mean, you don't even don the classic all black suit for crying out loud. I don't even think you are able to pick up the bodies and hide them if you wanted to. The one real annoying thing with the controls is that you toggle run/walk rather than holding the shift key to run. It gets quite annoying while trying to move around. As for the multiplayer aspects of the game, i can't comment since I only played the single player campaign.
If you can get this for cheap, under $10, then it might be worth it. I don't think it has much replay value, but I would honestly just use the money towards SC: Blacklist. It brings all the good additions from Conviction that I mentioned while also bringing back the suit, the stealth, hiding bodies, and the damn night vision goggles.
