In preparation for the new wave of consoles, I'm playing through all my old 360 games I bought for less than $20 and this was at the bottom of the pile. I played the original Xbox game with the same name back in the day (2006?), and liked that almost as much as the best in the series, Chaos Theory. However, this 360 version of the game is really a huge disappointment. It seems so unpolished and simply not finished compared to the original Xbox version game with the same name. I did even give the game a couple tries on different days, but just could not get into it. It was just so clunky and not fun. Finally gave up on the 4th level, just did not have the patience to continue any more. Oh, and it was the only game (that I can remember at least) that actually locked up my 360 totally where I had to power off to reset - yikes! I'd recommend to save your money and skip this one, it was clearly rushed out to have something on the new (at the time) 360. I'm not sure if the original Xbox version is backward compatible to play on the X360, but that would be the one to try if possible.

Great game concept but not executed on as well as it could have been. There really wasn't much for divergent storylines as was advertised - you just get different goals from each side and have to decide which ones to do so your trust meter with each group doesn't fall too low so that you get a "Game Over" screen. All that said, it was fun while it lasted, but I beat it in a week and I didn't even play it at all some days during that stretch. If you're at all experienced at playing Splinter Cell games, rent this one because it will be easy enough to beat in a short amount of time.

When video game companies change developers mid-stream on a franchise, you can only expect bad things *(see Call of Duty 3).

Not unlike how John Gruden wanted to make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers HIS team, apart from Dungee's Bucs----second-party developers look to stake their own claim...raise their own flag on a successful game franchise---and more often than not---gamers pay the price.

This game was helmed by Ubi Soft Shanghai...and man does it suck more than an overcrowded Chinese subway. They tried to add a "free will" aspect, which doesn't give you free will at all, but instead gives you timed missions and added, pointless stress that doesn't make the game more fun to play, but likens it unto getting a root canal.

Sure the graphics are great---but I think in the four days since it's release, Playstation 3 owners can tell you that in this day and age---and when it comes to games----beauty ain't everything.

Regardless, avoid this game if you're a fan of the other Splinter Cell titles. RENT IT if you haven't picked one up before. All in all though, this is a bigger ball-drop than "Halo 2" ever dreamt of being.

um well its better then conviction.its realistic but the controls are odd on 360.the game is so hard that i just stopped and i got bored.the levels are ok i guess.the story is kinda weird.chaos theory is way better.no coop which is gay.i didn't even beat it.idk this game just confuses me for some reason.there is a jail level that was cool though.there is a training level that is so retarted.and my game was frezzy idk if it was just the disc or what.on the other hand is the multiplayer thats pretty fun.cool how it is all set up.playing xbox live with friends was fun.
