Thats easy, before I had seen this movie, I had read Pete Wentz's Journal Entries on his Buzznet, FOBrock.com, and Fueled By Ramen, and had no clue who he was talking about when he talked about this character "Dirty." Now I have compleate and utter respect for Dirty. He's so amazing, with his screaming of "I love my life!!!" Not to mention, Hey Chris from Fall Out Boy's song (Grenade Jumper) is also in this movie, along with his girlfriend Hey Kate.

This DVD was watched by me and my friends and now we have so many new inside jokes. It was so funny. My personal favorite parts were Bedussey, and the deleted scenes (Panda Monium). Yes, there is a scene which features a cigarette and a scrotum, but, it's still in good spirit. Age wise, I think anyone whom is slightly mature and has a good sence of humor, can watch it. I watched it with my friends, whom are ages 15-17 and also with my cousin who is 12, and she loved it.

The versions: Grey and Pink (purchased on Fueledbyramen.com). There are no differences between the two different verstions other than the color of the case.

All in all, I do feel that this DVD seemed to get me to enjoy the band more.

Ok, lets me get this clear to you. I ordered this DVD a little hesitant whether i would like it or not. All of the reviews definitely helped me(u should read them before you buy, they are helpful). Well its just plain and simple, it's great, awesome all the other words that mean the same as those. If vyou are a Fall Out Boy or/aswell a fan of Pete Wentz i highly recommend this DVD to you. Yeah, so what, its a little gross-and as said in other reviews that it's like jackass with Pete Wentz and FOB and a few other people. But it's funny as, i was laughing soooo hard. And another thing- yeah if you hear Pete talking about Dirty or Hey Chris online, you finally find out who they are. It's great. Also cause you see live footage of them, Armor for Sleep, Gym Class heroes and more. Also if you are fan of Patrick, then go to the deleted scenes and see him acting like a panda. Frikkin cute.One of my favourites are Bedussey(you should watCH that its A crack up) OMG, i'm so sorry, long review. Anyhow basically my advice to you is to buy it and waTCH it, you'll love it. Come on its like 19.50 US altogether. Oh by the way, I live in NZ right, and it only took like 10 days to get on international standard shipping. Very trustworthy. Release the bats is definatly one of my favorite dvds i own. It will show you a side of pete wentz and others you may or may not want to see... i thought it was very interesting to see and its kind of cool to see another side others may not have. You also get to find out who Dirty is or whatever. Pete says things about him in a couple of places (online) and all i could think is "who is that?" so thats also very exciting. I would say as long as you have a good sense of humor your pretty much safe buying this.
remember: its the stuff deemed 'unfit' for "my heart with always be the b-side to my tongue"

this dvd is seriously awesome. Its so funny. I definatly recomend it for people who have sick minds. It did have a lot of crazy and disgusting things done by pete and his friends, dirty, hey cris and more. It does have some nudity, but its all butts.
I do recomend it for people age 14 and up, cuz some of the stuff is kinda nasty.

Release the Bats one of the craziest, nastiest, and funniest DVD's I have ever seen. If you like Fall Out Boy & the show Jackass you will probably like this DVD. The movie has some cool bonus features too, like concerts of other bands and some stuff from the Warped tour. The only thing is that you should not purchase this movie if you are under 13, you may not be mature enough for some of the things in the DVD. I love this movie and I am hoping Peter Wentz makes another DVD.

What a great DVD. Reccomended for any FOB fan!!!!! 100 out of 10. Absolute genius work!!!!

this is like the awesomest DVD ever!!! if u are even considering buying this then do it! if u have a gross sense of humor like me u will luv this. and it is great because u get to see pete being pete and that is what we all want. on yeah and almost all of his friends are like totally hot. not as hot as him, but still. and it is great because i always wanted to see dirty and hey chris and now i have which is cool.

(also it says this has nudity but don't worry if u dont wanna see it it is only butts. all other things are covered)

Great video but only if you really love Pete Wentz and Fall Out Boy. Although ... its like a car crash - hard not to look but there are parts of it you will wish you never saw. Its nothing to be taken seriously and don't look for refined entertainment. This video is of a bunch of badly behaved boys with too much time and money on their hands. It is funny as hell and I'm glad I bought it.

Wow... right this was really funny, but totally discusting... I laughed so hard it was bad... I do not recomend this for those who are easily grossed out, I still can not believe they did some of the stuff that they did.. I think it was worth buying, but again if you get easily grossed out, you do not want to watch this...

I was too before I bought it... I watched it over the summer with my friend and we were both 14 then... I found it kind of funny but it's definately nothing compared to "My Heart Will Always Be The B-Side To my Toungue", which is more serious but also has its funnier moments. "Release the Bats" is basically just Pete and his friends goofing off with, let's say, 'guest appearances' from the other members of fall out boy. it's basically jackass except with pete wentz. so there you go...
