This product is great for wood items that will be used with food. Works better than mineral oil. But like all natural finishes it requires multiple applications.
Not a problem, just don't expect a "one coat" finish.

This really works (who knew beeswax was so hard to find?), but make sure to follow the instructions to NOT sniff the stuff - it can make you feel lightheaded. I use it about 2x a month and my table looks lovely.

Clapham's Beeswax worked as directed - easy to apply, very nice quality finish. Time will tell if it protects, but so far I am impressed. I used it on an unfinished wood dining table from Crate and Barrel (C&B recommends beeswax on the table). First coat I applied liberally, let sit for about an hour, then I wiped/buffed it by hand. Next day I did the same, but waited five minutes (per directions). As wood seemed quite dry, I did a third coat also. Finish looks great - brought out the grain nicely. I am expecting a bit of protection but not too much, so will still be cautious. Easy to use and nice product.

I was recently given an 1860s era Victorian flame mahogany dresser. It had been neglected for many years, and I wanted to clean it up a bit. After reading many reviews, I purchased this wax, and am glad I did.
There is little to no odor, it goes on easily, and with the appropriate amount of elbow grease leaves a lovely shine! I then used it on a cobbler's bench that is so old the iron nails are literally disintegrating. I didn't expect miracles, but that also took on a beautiful shiny patina (to the extent an ancient piece of wood that has been well loved and not cared for well for many, many years can!). I have no complaints at all about this product.

I love this stuff! It's easy to use and leaves wood smooth and protected without a mess or the really strong chemicals of stain. Worth every penny!

I wanted a beeswax polish for my antiques, and this is convenient. It also has a very mild and not unpleasant smell. I'll probably order it again when this runs out, unless I can find a way to make one that doesn't smell horrible. <grin>
