I found it to be one of her most outstanding works. It was definitely a page turner. I could not put the book down. The plot was very easy to follow.

Stunning! It's a well written book. The plot is pretty straight forward, but very exciting. I couldn't put it down.

I like this book. I have only recently gotten interested in reading AA romance books this year. I am careful of what I read. I definitely believe in the saying "garbage in, garbage out." I always thought most romance books were garbage and for the non serious reader. I generally still think that. However, there are a couple of authors who bring light into the genre.
I enjoyed this read about Clare and Luke and Aunt Emily. It was well written and excellent story telling. Maybe I missed it. I am not sure of the time line. I think this story was set in the late 19th century or very early 20th century. The author needs to be clearer on this. If I missed something, I apologise. I don't think I did. Details stick to my mind when reading books like this. I am the reader that catch contradictions in the story line. For example early in the story the author tells the reader that Wade Williams is 20 years Clara's senior, than later he is 15 years. Serious readers will catch details like this in fiction. Overall I liked the book and would recommend it to folks who normally would not consider reading a historical romance. |
