Definitive Work of Clarice Cliff,
By
This review is from: Clarice Cliff the Bizarre Affair (Paperback)
This book provided us with the first sharp definitions of Clarice Cliff and the art era in which she flourished. Leonard Griffin gives the reader an excellent short biography of Cliff but more than that, he explains the Bizarre Affair, the forward-looking brilliant artwork of this young English artist. I am a collector of Clarice Cliff and I remain astonished about the breadth of her work and the brilliant designs and patterns. Mr. Griffin has organized the Bizarre work into shape and patterns. I do use more resources since this book has been published, but I credit Mr. Griffin as the pioneer of organizing her art to enable the reader or collector to understand this part of art deco history.

Arrived on time and was like described. Color sheets were great - gently used - and soon to be "more gently used"! Package was received with no damage. Since I am an artist, I love the color plates to be true to the original. Now to someday see the show of Clarice Cliff's Bizarre Affair with her art. Thank you.
