Bronze Goddess,

I've tried all of the department store self tanners and a few of the mass market ones, and I've always wanted to find one that is a deep, but believable color. Other "deep" color formulas have always made me look orange, despite the fact that I have a golden color to my skin already. This formula hit the bull's eye. It gives you a gorgeous bronze color like you've been in the Bahamas for 2 weeks, but has no icky smell. The watery formula is a bit more challenging to work with than a traditional lotion, but other than that its a dream! I used a cotton ball, but that absorbed a lot of product, so I'll be switching to the Shiseido cotton squares. I love this so much I want to put it all over my body. I recommend putting it on before bed so you can wash off the tint in the morning after the color has developed, so it looks a little more natural. Another feature that I love about this formula is that it contains both DHA and erythrulose, so you get the golden color of DHA, but also the believable and longer wear of erythrulose.

This product DEFINITELY works. Just take a cotton pad (a flat one not a cotton ball), soak it up, and apply using long strokes. There is a smell, but it's not bad. You can sleep with it on if you apply it at night, which is what I recommend. If you apply it in the morning, you might look conspicuously orange/tan. If you put it on overnite, some color fades and it looks more natural. It never rubbed off on my pillow, so staining wasn't an issue. For me, the product only lasted between 24-36 hours and then it pretty much disappeared. The important thing is that it does work and doesn't smell bad.

Clarins Does not deliver,

In Self magazine they reviewed several self-tanners, and said that Clarins was the best. However, being olive skinned it was yellowish in color, and after paying 30+ on this item, I am very disappointed. I guess higher prices doesn't mean it's going to "pay off"!

Love this stuff! Mix it with your own moisturizer, it's custom!,

I live by this bronzer. How far we've come since the 80's! ; ) You mix the amount you'd like with your moisturizer in the morning and TA-DA! Natural hint of color! It does get a little messy, and it's hard to travel with (I have to wrap it in a paper towel because once you open it, it will leak a tiny bit) but I'm telling you, it's worth it. I hope they don't get rid of this, it is ideal. I'm so thrilled that I found something this good that mixes with my own moisturizer, making it custom. Love it!
