I would recommend this amp as the building blocks of a nice sounding marine stereo system. Manual was very straighforward. There's plenty of power with this powering my 6.5" Polk Audi and 6x9 Inifinity marine speakers. This has yet to get too hot even after 4hrs in the 85 degree sun. I expect the best from clarion and they delivered.

I actually used this amp in a mobile application because the specs are great and the price was right.

I stuck this behind my rear seat in my sedan, so it didn't have access to a lot of fresh air. I thought I might have to install some ducting and a fan, but this amp runs very cool. It does put out some warmth but not enough to be an issue.

The sound is good, but I'm not an expert on that. This amp does have great specs if you compare THD and SNR to other amps.

My first complaint about this amp is it seems to be of lower quality than the Clarion DPX2251 amp. The plastic and metal seem cheaper. My second complaint is the size of the amp. It is quite long so keep that in mind for your installs.

The wrong item was sent to me and to date no one has replied to me about this, I have sent numerous emails requesting the correct item be shipped with no replies as yet. I am very frustrated with thier level of service, they seem to be just washing their hands of this problem. It is now three weeks since my initial email. I'm sure the product itself will be good when I eventually receive it.
