Clarion's 24-bit D/A converter eliminates the signal defects of older 16 bit decoding by actually "oversampling" the digital signal. I ordered this item from Amazon. Once I had it professionally installed I was informed that it was a faulty radio because my Drivers side tweeter wouldn't work with it but would with other tested radios. I informed Amazon and they overnighted another radio to me and once it was installed I was very impressed. Looks great in a car with a double din. Plays DVD flawlessly! Touch screen is very responsive and many options etc!! My speakers are much louder and more clear now with this unit. Would recommend buying from Amazon before going to your audio shop where they would charge you much more!

Unit works great. Especially love the iPod interface--well done, Clarion. Audio (but not video) works w/ the iPhone 3G (except it doesn't charge, but I blame Apple for that more than Clarion). Everything went pretty smooth except getting the control wire to the parking brake. That was a pain.

I was very Disappointed in the Clarion MAX385VD I thought Clarion was one of the best the picture when playing dvd's was great sound is ok . But after 2 weeks the door got stuck and wouldnt open . There goes the CD I just brought money down the drain . I had to pay some one to install it and had to pay someone to uninstall it.I wont never buy Clarion again. But its not amzon fault will still do business again. And system was new not refurb.
