5.0 out of 5 stars Excelent Item, January 21, 2010

UPDATE Sep. 2011

This item recently died on me. The first sign was feedback in my system. A slight whine. Then it was causing distortion that I could not pinpoint. At high volume one channel was sending artificially high voltage, pooping my speaker. Then it completely burned out. Not sure if I should by another one or what. Great for a while....

Original
This was a great buy.

Had trouble finding a X-over that would take 2 channels, Front and SUB and split it into three FRONT, REAR and Leave the SUB independent without the use of a splitter.

This item works wonderfully. THD is very low, Low pass cross over works very well. Will cut out bass below my speaker response, (50hz). Base boost is also a plus, especially one that the frequency can be adjusted. Allowing for compensation at the low end of the spectrum where subs start to loose response.

Also, the remote level for the bass, a must have. I installed the potentiometer in my dash, now i can raise or lower bass volume at a touch, never having to use the head unit level. Very nice if you listen to different music types. Allows the sub to blend purrrrrfectly with my components.

Wonderful buy, wonderful price, would highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars definately a great idea, May 15, 2009

This lil thing is great! I installed it just as i got it, even before i drove home from work, i'm only using on to round out my sub frequencies, and it does it very well. The low frequency boost, makes my lil sub a Pioneer TS-W1007D2|D4 sound great. I'm running boost at 35 Hz, love it. Never tried it with Mid and trebble but it works wonders for my bass.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clarion Crossover, July 8, 2008

This is a fantastic product for the price. The compact size was what really made it a great product. The bass levels on this cross over is quite amazing and with the right setup, you can get a very clean crisp sound.

I Love this Crossover before i put in this baby my system sounded jumbled up when i tried to turn it up loud, but now i could turn my system all the way and it still sounds clean as it would if it was low, and my bass is like WOW!!! now i've been told i could be heard from far up the road and i'm shaking even more windows. I highly recommend this crossover

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, October 14, 2010

The casing is solid, the features are abundant, and the quality is superb. The remote also moves through the full range of your preset volume, so you can turn it all the way off if you need (and the cord from the remote is extra long). My configuration: L/R RCA from the head unit to the crossover (there's an option to split one input into front, rear, and sub!), crossover to 2 channel 800w sub amp, crossover to 4 channel 400w speaker amp. All rigged with a 1.7uF cap.

This crossover does exactly what it's supposed to do. I see only one improvement:

The frequencies aren't explicitly defined on the dials, though they do provide three reference points - presumably lowest, middle, and highest. Not a big deal; just requires a little more effort, moving from trunk to cabin and back, to match frequencies.

Overall, a quality product. I did lots of research, all of which led me to this thing. No regrets whatsoever. My sound system is now clearer than any I've heard, and, at max volume, there's absolutely no distortion. The instructions were also surprisingly concise and well-written.

Thank you, Clarion!

This crossover is awesome. My highs and mids sound crisp and clear and my bass sounds awesome. The only thing I dont like about this was the bass knob. the bass knob is really small it comes with a bigger knob but I cant figure out how to swap them out. other then that its great.
