5.0 out of 5 stars Great volume and clarity
This phone is appropriately named. I have just given this to my elderly mother, so it has not yet had much use, but so far she is very pleased. She can hear much better than on any other "volume control" phone we have tried for her... and there is much more volume available that she has not used. She didn't think any phone could reach a volume "too loud" for her. Her...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great volume and clarity, May 12, 2007
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
Her hearing loss is significant in the high register, so the tone adjustment is also a nice benefit. This phone has many excellent features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Gift for someone hard of hearing, March 12, 2007

Got a senior relative that won't wear a hearing aid, but doesn't always hear the phone ringing? And can't quite catch all of the conversation when they do answer the phone? I did, got them this phone for a gift and it has helped a great deal. Directions to assemble the base it sits on are kind of cryptic so you might want to be there to help them set it up, but once it's going it works great -- nice and loud, but not annoyingly so.

This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
I purchased this phone for my father who has difficulty hearing on a regular
telephone. Although the volume is loud, any background noise is very disturbing while talking on this phone. The phone has three tone settings along with volume control. At higher volumes, the tone settings really don't make any difference because he still can't hear because of poor voice quality. This phone is supposed to be hearing aid compatible, my father can here on this phone better without his hearing aid and on a much lower volume than the phone is capable. Hopefully there will be a learning curve associated with using this phone, but for now, it is not worth the money. My expectations were that he would be able to pick up the phone, make a few adjustments, and easily be able to have a normal conversation without a lot of effort. It is just not there yet. It has been about a month maybe time will tell.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great phone, May 14, 2008
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
I am very happy with this phone. I can hear with or without my hearing aid. The sound is slightly mechanical, however, it is clear. There are only 2 problems that I have encountered:
1. No caller ID
2. When calling a number that asks you to "Press 1 for customer service", the numbers I press never register and I continue getting a voice telling me to make a selection

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for Almost Deaf, October 6, 2007
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
My mother is almost completely deaf and has a hard time even with hearing aids. She can use this phone with or without the hearing aids. I do get a slight clicking on my end but it's not loud enough to be annoying. It's a good buy for hearing impaired.

I purchased the Clarity C4205 from Amazon. It was so-so for a couple of days and then turned very strange with noises, echoes, etc. I called Clarity and they told me just to pack it up and send it in. I received a replacement about a week later. It is GREAT. As one who is seriously hearing impaired, it has been a real treat, not only with volume, but with the clearness of speech which is so vital. I have three phones on the first floor of my house and when the phone rings, I rush for the Clarity.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dissatisfied with customer service, March 3, 2010
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
DO NOT BUY THIS. There are others out there...The unit was not operating properly after installing new battery.n Contacted technical service. They said I would have to send the unit in for servicing. Packaged it, including a list of items I was sending in, including a brand new battery and I listed all of the things that had not been working properly and that I had discussed with the tech rep. Some two to three weeks later I received a box with
a NEW unit with a shipping notice that indicated no charges. Two days later I receive an invoice for 107.22. When I contacted customer service rep. He intimated that it was all my fault that they had not called me to tell me that they were not going to repair the unit. I should have made a note that I wanted a call. He insisted that since I did not have "proof of purchase" (it was a gift) that the only thing they could work from was the manufacturer's date inside the unit. I suggested it was my phone and that before they decided to discard it, I deserved a phone call since it was MY phone and I should decide what was to happen to that unit. He informed me that he had a very high IQ and that he didn't not like my talking down to him. I stated that there was a misnomer in the statement "customer service" as there was no service involved. He kept telling me everything was discarded. The NEW battery should NOT have been discarded. This was the third battery I had purchased for that phone. Expensive batteries! I can buy this unit (Clarity) off the shelf for less than $80.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amp... Great product --- but, January 24, 2009
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
We purchased this phone for my husband's mother, who cannot hear well at all. We thought we needed to purchase the highest decibals available that we could find, but found that this particular phone was more than was needed for her. It would squeal, so we returned this one and bought the same phone that is 30 db and it was perfect for her. She loves it, and so do we. Now the family can talk to her on the phone and she understands and can really carry on a conversation!! We LOVE IT!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Clairty C4205 hearing impaired phone, June 7, 2009
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
I purchased this for my 93 year old dad, who's extremely hard of hearing. We can actually have a phone conversation with him now ... he's able to hear what we are saying! Only thing I don't like is the reception on our end ... there's static, but that may be because my dad is still talking to loud. I would highly recommend this phone for anyone with a hearing disability.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Clarity C4205 2.4GHz Cordless Phone with 50-dB Amplification and Extra Loud Ringer (White) (Office Product)
I bought this phone for my elderly mother, who is quite hard of hearing. She never has to ask anyone to repeat what they said. She can hear just fine while on this phone. The volume is very loud (which is great for her), but just about blows my eardrum out when I forget to turn it down before I use it. The ringer is quite loud also, which is great. And it has differnt ring tones to chose from to make it easier to hear, depending on your level of hearing loss. For the money, I think it's a great value.
