This review is from: Clark Plays Guitar (Audio CD)
"Clark Plays Guitar" is a great album. Not merely a few good songs, but an entire CD-length composition that's coherent and without a single bad track. If you're into instrumental rock, you'll really enjoy this.
What surprised me most is how much variety there is here. Colborn gives you some heavy metal with songs like "Return to Oblivion" and "Stainless." But he also experiments -- and, in doing so, makes this album truly exciting to listen to -- with the unique and almost dreamlike sounds of "Unconditional" and "Ethereal Dancer." Those two songs alone make "Clark Plays Guitar" worth its price. I found this album by pure luck while playing around with the Pandora music recommendation service one day. I'm really glad I did. |
