I bought the wide size and tried it out but unfortunately it didn't feel like my old Clarks. Although it was a wide shoe it was tighter at the toe and the soles are harder than the last version. The inner-sole was cushioned but had a lumpy feel. I sent them back and will look at other brands.

I've worn Clarks for a *long* time and been very happy with them overall. I walk a lot and I was typically able to get 1-2 years out of a pair. That has all changed with the new versions: Holes in the sole begin showing up in less than 2 months! I've now gone through two brand new Nature-3 pairs in quick succession. As others have commented the new sole has a VERY thin layer of rubber over some sort of foam core and the rubber layer wears away rapidly. The uppers appear to still be of decent quality, but the soles are basically worthless now. I find it very disappointing Clarks would do this to customers (and soon themselves!), after generations of making good quality stuff...

Clarks began its Natureveldt shoe line in the 1980s. Their latest version of this shoe is the Nature three oxford. I found the quality of this shoe to be high. The shoe was comfortable right out of the box. I ordered the same size as my Natureveldts and was pleased with the fit. The cross stitching on this casual shoe gives the shoe a sporty look. I think that Clarks has another winning shoe.
