I have bought and worn Wallabees for years. I had contacted Clark's to find out the difference between the regular shoe and the Padmore. I was told that the crepe sole on the regular Wallabee was a little softer and provided a little more comfort but otherwise the Padmore was the same shoe. I recently bought a pair in a local store and was very satisfied. So when I saw them in blue suede on the Amazon website, I decided to buy them. When they arrived I was very disappointed. The soles looked very dirty like someone had walked through the dirt in them. The uppers looked ok but offered very little support like a typical Wallabee. They looked like they had been worn and that I had purchased a pair of used shoes. The seller said that was the style and the picture on Amazon showed that the soles were supposed to have a dirty or "vintage" look (But it didn't- otherwise I never would have bought them.) They said I could return them but I had to pay the return shipping. Their policy also required that I buy a shipping box from the post office and said not to return them in the box in which they were sent. I was irritated because I had already paid $10 for shipping. I complained to Amazon and was issued a $10 credit but I was still out $8 for the return shipping. I showed my wife the shoes and she agreed that they didn't look good. I also showed the lady at the post office and she commented "Are those new shoes?" She said she didn't know anyone who would want to wear them, not even kids. This was an extremely disappointing transaction. Wallabees are great shoes and I have several pairs. But these shoes sucked!!!
