I have owned almost ever version of the iPod.
This is the best protector I have bought yet.

The double protection is great.
The inner skin is your typical rubber sleeve.
The package came with both a white and black rubber sleeve.

The outer hard case is beautiful clear acrylic with a dual clip on the back.
This dual protection creates kinda of a dust-free seal on your iPod.
Your iPod will not get scratched while in this case and should be able
to handle a decent fall.

The clip is a nice "belt clip" with a twist. The inner part pops out and becomes
a stand. I use the stand a lot on airplanes. It sits nicely on the tray table.
The stand is stable.

I have sold five of these to friends. Once the hold it in their hands, they have to have one.

This case saved my Ipod many times from some serious impact damage. The only problem is the headphone jack opening. It's way too small and I had to use a metal file to enlarge it. Still, absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this case.

This is the second case I have bought for my iPod Classic, and the one that fits the iPod the best. It is easy to put on, very protective of the iPod, and yet, when I want to watch a video I can slip the plastic cover and see the clear screen. It has two levels of protection: the soft skin plus a hard plastic outer cover that is just about perfect.

Just recently received this product from the official iSkin page, and I have to say, its terrible. The plastic is flimsy and cheap, and (for me at least)came pre scratched. its worth mentioning that the faceplate is detached by sliding it down. That wouldn't be an issue, except for the fact that it has no locking mechanism, and all but falls off every time I remove it from my pocket. The silicone sleeve is one of the poorest fits I've ever seen, and is made of poor quality silicone with cheap, jagged cuts. If you're going to buy this, realize 2 things: You're gambling your money away, and you're paying for a brand. Nothing else.

this item was too bulky for an ipod classic 160. I have the 2009 version, which is more slim than the previous gen.

I returned this item back to Amazon.com for a refund since it was "not as described". The seller failed to mention the interior sleeve design that obstructs normal functions. Definitely not worth the price tag...I sent it back.

The clear case and skin are a nice idea. However, when using the skin, it is hard to manipulate the jog dial. And when the iPod is in the plastic case without the skin, it rattles. Both are needed to work together to fit properly within the hardshell case. I really liked the idea of the hardshell case to protect my iPod from scratches, and I liked the clip to secure it to my pocket or shirt. But trying to use it with the skin is frustrating. This was not worth the cost for the hassle. Also the top lid is tricky to insert.

I bought this case based on Amazon's high reviews. After getting it home, I was surprised to find that the black silicone skin slowed down my 160 GB iPod Classic's click wheel so much that it couldn't pick up enough speed to start flicking through my songs alphabetically. After half an hour of repositioning the borders and trying again and again, I gave up returned it. Too bad, it looks great but if the case prevents one from using the iPod, it's not worth much.
