Awesome...,

I first bought this CD because the lead singer is Jonathan Jackson, one of my most favorite actors, and after listening to the CD I concluded that he and his family have a terrific talent. I would reccommend this CD to EVERYONE. It is one of the best CDs I've ever listened to, tieing with Scarlet Road's "God Candy" and Jonathan's "Deep End of the Ocean".

Okay, as a teenage girl, I may sound prejudiced in saying Jonathan Jackson's CD "Clash" is an excellent one. But this CD does show that Jackson is as accomplished a guitarist and singer as he is an actor. His voice is raspy and strong, and the guitar solos sound like he invested a lot of emotion in them. Any rock fan will appreciate this. In the beginning, some songs went straight over my head. However, this album gets much better as it goes along. I recognized some lyrics in "Clash", the title single, from a postcard I once received from Jackson's fan club. I know "Unlucky" is based on the General Hospital storyline where Nikolas saved Lulu's life and shook up the Spencer family. Turning this storyline into a song was truly creative. "Rise" is my favorite song on this CD. The melody is good, and I love Jackson's lyrics. In this age of school violence and administrators' despair, Jackson's optimism is refreshing. "Bellywalk", a song based on the serpent in the Bible, shows Jackson's Christian faith. "Bleak Sunrise", a song largely built on a guitar solo, is a wonderful exhibition of Jackson's guitar prowess. To attribute this CD solely to Jonathan would be wrong. His bandmates (his brother, father, and uncle) join him on guitar, drums, and vocals. The contributions work well. I cannot compare "Clash" to any other artist. Many bands talk about producing a sound that is "their own". Scarlet Road is the only one I have in my CD player that has succeeded in this. Anyone and everyone will enjoy this CD.

I am a great fan of Jon and Richard Jackson but I wasn't sure if I would like their music, but when I heard this cd I instantly fell in love with it. The music is uplifting and their talents are great. I know these are some of the most talented(and down to earth) guys out in Hollywood!

This band is magnificent! You will truly enjoy everything on this CD! I've had it since Christmas and I have enjoyed it thoroughly! My parents groan whenever I put it in the CD player because they know they are in for another 5 hour marathon! Scarlet Road's talent is stupendous! You will love everything! Especially Mayday, Rise, Clash and the "Secret Song" <---girls will swoon over this one! Enjoy!

I have had this CD for about 6 months now and it is truly enjoyable! I've listened to the CD so many times, I know the words inside out. some of of the words are vague in some songs. But if you get this CD make sure you listen for the "secret track" at the end. :)

Jonathan Jackson soars through the vocals on this collection with ease and brilliance. The music is at times off balance, but the lyrics and vocals are top notch for a 16 year old who is mainly known for his acting. Look out for this kid whatever he does after leaving General Hospital. He's a star and multi-talented as this album shows. The stand-out tracks are: Clash, Enticement, Mayday, and the hidden track.
