I am mixed about this book. I am one of Elles non YA readers (39) and I have been addicted to all of her other books. This one just did not hold my interest and excitement as her others have. It took me much longer to read. I did feel this book had less foul language which I appreciated but Jaynes immaturity has become annoying. Especially as her friends have shown so much more growth. I also felt that there was not much story advancement in this book... and I am a little confused about what is actually going on but I will keep Reading All Elles books just because she is a great writer. I look forward to the next.....

Oh my....what to say about the emotional roller coaster that Elle subjects me to...First all I have to say that I really really hate love triangles, but since so many books use that in their plot, I can't avoid them all. I count myself as a pretty good judge of character therefore when I choose the one I want them to end up with I usually stay pretty loyal and am mad if it does not end up that way. Now with all that being said.....Elle you are killing me with all the twists and turns and make me feel disloyal because I have changed my preferences several times through out this series!! I am loyal like Jayne so to convince me to jump tracks is really pretty rare and to have me jump more than once to different people is incredible,

This book is laugh out loud funny...but I come to expect that from Elle (her humor and voice speaks to me like a best friend)..but right now I am clueless and out of the loop as Jayne! Elle leads us (Jayne and any reader) around by our emotions and our bag of good intentions. You know that Jayne is about to something that looks like a good idea and altruistic on the surface and honestly if you were the one standing there and having to make a decision on the spot with the information you have at the moment, you would probably make the same one. But the information or the hints you get RIGHT after makes you think that it will come back to bite you and the whole of fae and mankind is there every time.

I don't want to give away any spoilers therefore I am not going to talk about what happens in this book. I have recommended all of Elle's books and if you read one and like her voice then I would tell you read them all! Her main characters are kick ass, sassy young women that are always trying to take care of their friends, family while trying to make the right choices (not always successful) then deal with the consequences of their actions (always actions because these gals are not the sit on the sidelines to wait and see people).

I love the characters (pretty much everyone of them)in this series and it will be a sad day when we don't get to get an update in their lives.

Thanks again Elle for the wild ride and the rush of adrenaline you provide on a regular basis.

Elle Casey is one of my favorite authors. Jayne is so much fun. I love each and every book that she is in. I am going to be so sad when these books are over.

Jayne and Tim go on many more adventures. I'm dying to know what Maggie is doing with the little fae. I am SO hopeful about Spike. Jayne had me cracking up with her smart a** mouth. I would love to climb into Elle Casey's mind and see where she comes up with this stuff. About Ben...well...my interest is piqued and that's all I'm gonna say.

I woulda reviewed this book much sooner but as soon as I finished it I was beginning another book by Elle. I am a self Confessed Chain Elle reader, I would seek therapy but seeing as I have no intention of stopping... Anyway Elle Casey is my favorite author because of this and all her other books. I have become invested in everyone of them and their characters, she is a true talent. Now stop reading this and start reading her books!!! *B.B.*

Let me start by saying how much I loved war of the fae. I told all my friends about it. I couldn't wait to read the next series. And although I am still enthralled with the story I am so over all the farting references. Elle Casey has done a great job of making you feel like you are not reading a young adult book until now. If I was a 12 year old boy I'd enjoy the book more. Sorry.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the other reviewers. I found this Book a bit boring. It probably has to do with my age (60) but I got sick of all the use of "farting". I thought enough already, move on. It seemed a bit of overkill. I got into it when Aiden came in but then it lost me again. I am still looking forward to book three. I hate to give you only three stars Elle but I know you would want an honest review.

Another great story by Elle Casey. Once again Ms. Casey has deprived me of sleep by writing a story so intriguing that I read through the night. I am already anxious for Book 3! Is it out yet? ;-)

Amazing book! Very hard to put down! A wonderful continuing to the series. But I was about to throw my kindle clear across the room when I realized I was at the end. I wanted more. Lol Elle Casey is an amazing author. And she is very good at her cliffhangers, she has a way of always making you want more. But that is the mark of only the best of authors. I look forward to her next....

I could not wait for this book to be released! I seriously cyber-stalked Elle Casey's Facebook as well as refreshing my Amazon search about every thirty seconds until this book finally came up for purchase. Let me just say it was worth it!
First off I have to say that if you are looking for a good read this is awesome, but it's totally worth starting with book one of War of the Fae and reading the whole series.
That being said here are my thoughts on just this book. It was nothing I expected! And how wonderful is it when six books in you are still surprised by the plot? I don't want to give anything away, but I will just say that there were so many things I didn't see coming. As usual I was busting a gut, literally laughing out loud at points. I know Jayne is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love her! Oh and Tim the pixie is too funny! My little baby who toots a lot should feel lucky it's to late to change his name! The only complaint I have about this amazing book is that I wasn't ready for it to end! Can't wait for the next one!

The following sentence is probably the dumbest thing I've ever written in a review, but since it sums up my feelings I'm going to write it anyway. I wish the seventeen year old protagonist in a book written for young adults would stop acting like such a teenager. Yeah, I get it; Jayne's been through a lot of traumatic events and has had no time to come to terms with them. But her childish approach to everything - Ben, the council, Tony's plans, Maggie, and most of all Spike - is aggravating to read about. On the one hand she thrashes about ignoring and upsetting everyone's plans, rushing into danger with absolutely no planning or common sense. Then she starts wailing about what a screw up she is, how she shouldn't be trusted with power, blah, blah, blah - while making no effort to learn to handle her power or listen to anyone who wants to guide her. Throw in way too many fart jokes and I was more annoyed than amused. Typical teenager approach to life - yes. Stuff I want to read about - no. I much prefer War of the Fae Jayne, who was impulsive but her heart was in the right place. This Jayne seems to make decisions based on sticking it to whoever is annoying her at the moment, rather than trying to do what's right no matter what the cost.

When all is said and done it's not like the story was misrepresented or poorly written. The characters acted appropriately to their natures and ages. But I just didn't like it as much as War of the Fae. Two and a half stars rounded up to three, and here's hoping the third book pulls everything together.
