Class Clowns can be serious business,
By Kerri Busteed "Kerri J. Busteed" (Wisconsin) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case of the Class Clown (Jigsaw Jones Mystery, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
Jigsaw Jones is on another improtant case. You see, for $1 he will solve any mystery. This time it's the mystery of who is the class clown. Pranks are being played on classmates and no one knows who it is. It takes some serious detective work to solve the mysterey. As always, James Preller adds in a touch of humor to the all important mystery to be solved. Jigsaw's class is lucky to have such a fine detective.I recommend you sit down with your early reader and share one of his stories together. The Case of the Class Clown was definitely enjoyed by my son and myself. It is quick to read, fun pictures and it was fun for Nathan and I to try to guess who the class clown was going to be. When you finish you will surely be looking for another Jigsaw Jones Mystery to read. By Kerri J. Busteed Author of Will's First Hunt Will's First Hunt

Class clowns,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Case of the Class Clown (Jigsaw Jones Mystery, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
We liked reading this book because we think that jokes are funny to play on people. We especially liked the lime jello or the slime that was put in the shoe. Another part we enjoyed is when she got the present and the snakes shot out of the can and she got scared. We were all interested in finding out what the next joke was going to be. We liked reading a mystery because it kept us interested and we wanted to read more.We cannot wait to read the next book.

Someone is going too far with the class pranks and Jigsaw has to figure out who it is!,
By Raj "raj_thatsme" (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case of the Class Clown (Jigsaw Jones Mystery, No. 12) (Mass Market Paperback)
Synopsis: The story starts off with Athena Lorenzo meeting Jigsaw at his tree house, asking him to solve a case for her. Someone in class put slime in her sneakers when she was not looking, making her yell in fright when she put her foot in it, and having everyone laugh at her. She also shows a note which she found in her cubby with the word "Gotcha!" Mila, Jigsaw's partner, decides to taste the slime from the socks Athena was wearing, and discovers that it is actually Lime Jell-O.Later, Joey Pignattano calls Jigsaw and tells him that someone placed rubber bologna in his sandwich at the cafeteria, nearly poisoning him, along with a note of the same words attached in his lunch box. As if that wasn't bad enough, someone put a can of fake snakes to jump out on Mila's desk when she opened it, and turned the water in the class fish tank pink! Can Jigsaw figure out who the culprit and put an end to their pranks? Review: I thought this was a good book in the Jigsaw Jones series, because it did have some really good parts to it, but overall, as a mystery, if was pretty easy to figure out who was behind the pranks because the author hints it in the middle of the book. Another reason why I was a little disappointed was because, unlike other Jigsaw Jones books which have a lot of suspects for Jigsaw to keep an eye on, this book only had one, Ralphie Jordan. There is also a side story where Jigsaw's father is trying to train raisins in order to create a raisin circus. I found this to be a good humorous, and interesting side story because it even made me wonder how Jigsaw's father could train raisins. The illustrations as always are wonderfully drawn by Jamie Smith. Overall, even though I wouldn't consider this amongst one of my favorite Jigsaw Jones mysteries, I did enjoy reading it, and if the culprit wasn't so predictable, I would have put it in my favorites.
