I am a 9 year old girl that really enjoyed your book Class Clown. I especially like when Mrs Hochaday was handing out awards and Lucas Cott didn't care if he didn't get a pencil that was half red and half blue. Then when he got an award for the best improved conduct at the end of the year he really did care he that he received the red and blue pencils. I wanted to tell everyone how good your book the Class Clown is. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars for being so funny

Whether you are a teacher, a parent, or a student this is a great and entertaining story of a student named Lucas Cott who is the typical "class clown." However, through the story and the many events, Lucas finds that he enjoys NOT being the class clown more than he does the negative attention. It's a great story of how someone can change thier perspective and then change their behavior! Great story.

Class Clown is awesome. My favorite part was when Lucas put his head through the chair. I liked chapter seven because it was about the circus when Lucas was ringmaster and Julio was a clown. I liked chapter eight because it was the last chapter of the book. Class Clown is the best book!

Students and teacher alike will enjoy this story. Lucas has a knack for getting himself in sticky situations. (Most teachers have had a student like this at one time or another and children will recognize a classmate in Lucas.) Lucas fakes an eye examination, when told to bring in a leaf t school he brings in an entire bag of them, and he manages to gethis head stuck in a chair during an assemby. Lucas means well but... This is a very enjoyable book. It has eight chapters and is a great book for second and third graders.

I really enjoyed Class Clown. It was about a third grade boy named Lucas Cott. His teacher was Mrs Hocaday. Lucas Cott was a very noisey boy according to Mrs Hocaday. Lucas Cott was a boy that always got into trouble with his teacher. He was in trouble almost everyday. One day his mother has a talk with him.She says to turn over a new leaf. So, Lucas trys to be better by not yelling out without raising his hand. By doing his homework, and to listen in class. Lucas is getting a little better . Somrtimes he slips up by yelling out. One day Mrs Hocaday decides to do a scool play. They decided to do a circus which was Lucas's idea. When Mrs hocaday asigned parts Lucas was a clown. He didnt want to be a clown he wanted to be the ringmaster. Will he be able to switch? Read this book and find out. Here is another mystery. Mrs Hocaday is handing out prizes will Lucas Cott get one? To find out both of these mysteries read this book Class Clown by Johanna Hurwitz. If I were you I would read this book . It is a great book.

Clown Review,
A Kid's Review

Johanna Hurwitz's book, The Class Clown, is about Lucas Cott's ups and downs in the school year. He is probably one of the smartest students in the third grade although he hides that fact by always getting in trouble. But when he ties on a bet with Cricket Kaufman (who plans on being a lawyer), Cricket takes Lucas as her practice client and keeps Lucas out of trouble and then things get interesting.
This book has a great story line and is very well witten. It was a lot of fun to read. Johanna Hurwitz pulls you into the story at the very beginning of the book and then keeps pulling all the way. It's a good third-fourth grade book. All in all, it's a good book.

You should read Class Clown because it is a hilarious book. Lucas Cott is the main character. He is funny. He would be a really good student if he was good all the time and made good choices not bad choices. At first, Lucas is bad and then he is good. I like this book because it is funny.
