Great for beginners,
This review is from: Class on Demand: Fundamentals of Adobe PhotoShop Elements 7 2009 Adobe Educational Training Tutorial Learning DVD [Interactive DVD] (Interactive DVD)
As a painter, newsletter writer, and website editor I use Photoshop Elements to edit paintings and images for Web use, so I was excited to try Class on Demand's Fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop 7 with Sue Jenkins.
This was the first time I have used a DVD to learn software. It has some definite advantages over learning from a book. Watching the instructor use each tool on screen makes the explanations easily understandable. The DVD starts with a basic explanation on how to open the Photoshop program and proceeds to cover a dizzying array of editing and sharing tools. I found "Lesson 2: The Organizer Overview" the most useful as it covers the various things to be aware of when creating images for the Web. I was able to use several of the tips right away. The explanation on the benefits of camera RAW files sent me to my camera to check its setting. It was on default so I re-set it (after paging through the camera's instruction manual). I'll also use the information on Web-safe color and pixels for the Web. The only negative aspect of the training was that sometimes I wasn't sure why I might want to use a particular tool. Overall, the DVD is a comprehensive look at Photoshop Elements 7, well-suited to a beginner.

I have used Adobe Photoshop Elements for years and now have version 7. I'm self-taught and do know a lot about this software. However, this DVD is great. I just finished the first part, about the Organizer, and she presents all kinds of information I didn't know I was missing. I kept thinking, OH!...No Kidding!....I didn't know anything about that!....as I watched. I definitely recommend it.

This product is just what the doctor ordered! It provides very detailed information throughout the DVD. It's definitely for the beginner of Elements 7. It also provided step by step instructions that I really needed because I am just starting out with editing. Sue is an excellent instructor as she even showed me steps that I didn't even know about! Definitely a MUST HAVE!
