Thumbs way up...This Well produced self paced DVD course is what it claims to be: the solid, comprehensive training for a beginner to experienced user on Photoshop versions through CS3 and CS4, Although these techniques are superb for even older versions of photoshop. There are Chpters for all the possible uses of PS- Print, Web and Video. This is important because I am a video guy an NOBODY ever talks about Masks and Mattes and SD, HD and pixel aspect ratio's!!! This was well explained in this training. It's about time this covered in PS training. The included Print Quality Graphics and Broadcast qualityVideo clips make following along very convenient. I didn't have to go download anything from some website....THANK YOU! Features every subject users may think of. I highly recommend this course, it beats reading all PS books that are out there. Not only do you have an instructor that knows what she's talking about, but it is explained in such a simple way, that you learn by doing.I have viewed many Books and DVD's on PS over the years and in my opinion it is the best Photoshop training available. Great Value. Well Produced. --Mike Becker-PS Users Review

5.0 out of 5 stars FROM HANDS ON MEDIA TO COMPUTER MEDIA, September 24, 2008
This review is from: Class on Demand: Photoshop 2010: Designer's Guide to Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS4 Educational Training Tutorial DVD for Print, Web, Video Production, and 3D (DVD)
I grew up around your traditional hands on training for art. As we all know, many things have changed over the years and computers have started taking over the world of art. In all my years of schooling and teaching i never had any computer training experience so i bought a few training videos including this one. I have learned more in one hour with this product than i have my entire life with computers! The teacher Sue Jenkins did a great job and i would recomend this product to anyone that needs to use photoshop for web, print, and video design.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive guide to designing with Photoshop, October 6, 2008
This review is from: Class on Demand: Photoshop 2010: Designer's Guide to Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS4 Educational Training Tutorial DVD for Print, Web, Video Production, and 3D (DVD)
As a Photoshop and digital photography instructor I am always keen to see training material produced by others. Sue Jenkins gives a very detailed tour through Photoshop that will be helpful both for those who've just installed it as well as experienced users looking for tips, new techniques, or simply another perspective on using the gazillion tools available in PS. The DVD is organized in logical sections, letting you go through individual lessons of roughly 5-10 minutes each. She uses a wide range of real-world images and her directions are clear, easy to follow, and to the point. The demo images are also included in a folder on the DVD so you can download them and duplicate her steps.
As the title implies, this DVD is aimed at designers. There are three photography-related sections but these offer basic tutorials on compositing, cloning, etc. A DVD in this format and style devoted solely to digital photography would be nice to see. Having said that, for photographers who find themselves having to produce a brochure, poster, prep images for the web or video, this is a great resource for the tools and techniques you need to master.
If you need to learn how to use PS, spending the 7+ hours with this DVD will get you up to speed and producing high quality results.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful with Lots of Great Instruction, September 8, 2009
This review is from: Class on Demand: Photoshop 2010: Designer's Guide to Photoshop: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and CS4 Educational Training Tutorial DVD for Print, Web, Video Production, and 3D (DVD)
I've been using Photoshop for the past 10 years, and I found this DVD very helpful in filling in the gaps of knowledge that I have in this program. In the past few years I have not been able to devote the time to follow all the new features in each upgraded version of Photoshop, so there are ways that I've continued to work that can now be approached with greater ease and simplicity. DESIGNER'S GUIDE TO PHOTOSHOP brought me up to speed with the current version -- this was taught in the clearly organized and detailed OVERVIEW section.

If you learn better by visual instruction vs. reading manuals, and are not ready to take a class, I highly recommend this DVD. It is like having a private tutor by your side. The host, Sue Jenkins, really knows this program inside and out, and knows how to teach it. She communicates her knowledge in a very clear, thorough and warm manner. She demonstrates helpful tricks and alternative ways to approach particular actions efficiently and effectively.

As an experienced user, the language of the program is very understandable and easy to follow along. Although, if someone in an absolute beginner and has never touched Photoshop before or is unfamiliar with the Adobe programs, he or she would move much slower through the instructions.

I am most versed in print design, so I found the Web design section very helpful, since I sometimes do website designs in Photoshop, then pass the files to a programmer, so now I can create designs that are very compatible and ready for the programmer with the least amount of issues.
