SANDRA BROWN IN A CLASS OF HER OWN,
By Desmond Chan (Bishan North Singapore) - See all my reviews
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
Sandra Brown is one of the most accomplished writers in romance and IN A CLASS BY ITSELF follows her usual tradition in weaving magical romances with her trademark sensuality and poignancy. Logan and Dani are a pair of high school lovers, embittered because of their separation. Parental objection posed a stumbling block for them in the past and now with Dani, gaining her independence after learning from an ill-fated marriage, she is ready to steer the charity organisation, Friends In Need with pools of donation. Logan strikes a deal with her to lend his own property out for a summer camp on the terms that she would accompany him for a week. Dani finds herself trapped between passion and cold reality as her feelings for Logan had never once been extinguished. Sandra Brown is a gifted writer who, with her rich descriptions takes reader on an emotional roller coaster. The chemistry between Logan and Dani is one fuelled by hot sensuality, riveted passion and unrequited love. Her stunning romance novels are nevertheless typical, but it is also through the simplicity that you find her books true-to-earth.It is at once heart-rendering in a class of its own with the stumbling blocks of life Dani and Logan had to go through. Exquisite and compelling, this book is in a class by itself.

Couldn't Put it Down,
By A Customer
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
This is one of Sandra Brown's finest. I sat down in one afternoon and read it in 4 hours. The book starts off with clincher and keeps you hanging. She never gives anything away though you do suspect. It was realistically written that kept you wanting more. I have already recommended it to many of my friends.

Pure Class,

This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
When I picked up the book and started reading it, I just couldn't put it down. The story between two high school sweethearts truly hit it me in the heart. Sandra Brown really knows how to touch a person.

Logan swept me off my feet!,
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
This is a well rounded romatic novel with the right amount of passion, intimate moments and true love most people long for in life. Logan Webster is a true Texas GIANT. Rarely in romantic novels is the real and senstive character a strong man with a heart "as big as Texas". This book is the perfect rainy day romance novel to read straight through without stops.

Not In A Class By Itself,
By
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
This book was a disappointment for me. I love Sandra Brown, but this story left me pretty cold. I thought the plot was wonderful, it was a great concept, but it went downhill from there. Logan not having any other relationships in a ten year time period and just pining away for Dani turned me off of him. Also it became obvious early on in the story why Dani was so involved in her charity, which took away from the impact of the ending. It was entertaining enough, but I just think the story itself did not live up to the expectations of the situation.

A LIGHT, PLEASANT READ,
By
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a good book to read between those "deep" novels which have heart-stopping suspense, chills and thrills. It's a quick, light and pleasant love story involving Dani and Logan, high school sweethearts who reunite after ten years at (what else?) their high school reunion. The story may be far-fetched, but it's very possible. Their break up was a teenage tragedy, but their renuion is an adult fiasco. So much has happened to each of them in the missing ten years and it's made them different and stronger people. Dani's been married and divorced and has made strong, personal commitments. Logan's grown rich and reckless. The story is predictable, yet it gives us a few twists that we didn't anticipate. It also makes us hope that it will end well. Again, it' pleasant and light.

A lovely book to read,
By A Customer
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Hardcover)
In a Class by Itself was a fast read. I got very involved in the story and I loved all the characters. However, I think Dani is making a big deal about her secret. She can easily continue doing what she loves to do and marry Logan.

Sandra Brown's best work,
By Jana Cleveland (Fort Valley,GA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: In a Class by Itself (Mass Market Paperback)
My school library has a copy of this book. I enjoyed reading it. I also like the characters and plot. And the love scenes, of course, were excellent. This book was just as good as Temptation's Kiss. A must-read for all romance novel readers!

Really good book!,

Although this is one of Sandra's older books I really enjoyed it. The sexual tension was wonderful and the relationship between Logan & Dani bittersweet. If you're looking for mystery or a thriller this isn't for you as it's pure romance!

I love to read anything written by her. I am a hopeless romantic and i just love the happily ever after ending of her books. This one was so great. I made you wish you had a long lost love like the characters. I recommend this book to anyone with a romantic heart.
