Hi, I'm a third grader from U.S.A and I give this book threestars because it doesn't have any plot. The story is interesting because it has funny characters like the twins Marcos and Marius. Another funny thing is when the class made up the imaginary million dollars and they had to think about what they would do with the million dollars. It was interesting because they raised money for Arthur's glasses. You should read this book because it was interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, January 31, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Class President (An Apple Paperback) (Paperback)
Hi I am in 5th grade. I think you all should read this book it is great. Some kids lie so you don't read it but I am not lying. I love this book because it teaches children about how hard it is when you get older. It also teaches kids not to be stubborn.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good book., January 25, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Class President (An Apple Paperback) (Paperback)
I like the part when they started to make the posters, like Cricket is the ticket. My least favorite part is when Cricket gave everyone candybars just to win. I enjoyed this book because it had a good ending. Why I enjoyed this book is because it was about Class Prsident. I would like to meet Julio because he seems really nice and it would be really cool to meet him.

Cricket thinks she is going to win the election by passing out candy bars. But, Julio helps Arthur when he broke his glasses. Julio also helped his class get the soccer field back to play on. At the end, Julio won and Cricket was vice president.

4.0 out of 5 stars Maximum Class President, January 31, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Class President (An Apple Paperback) (Paperback)
I recommend this book because it's exciting and has good descriptions. The characters are experienced and realistic. I think there was action and it was exciting. I think Cricket jumped to conclusions and was thinking to far in the future. It was hard to wait to see who would win class president. I am not going to tell who though. I hope you enjoy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars You have to say some things straight out, September 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Class President (An Apple Paperback) (Paperback)
This book is about a boy named Lucas that wants to be class president and everybody else thinks he should be class president too. Lucas' best friend Julio, doesn't want Lucas to be class president. Julio tries to be nice to everybody so they will vote for him.

I think the book's message is that if you don't want somebody to do what you want to do you have to say it out.

I liked this book and I recommend it to you. I'd give it four stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Class President Review, January 10, 2003
A Kid's Review
The story is about a fifth grade class that is electing a class president and Julio's best friends are running for president. The setting takes place at school and the main characters are Julio, Arthur, Cricket, and Lukas. Julio secretly wants to run for class president but he doesn't want to run against his best friend. I think this book is fun to read because it is exciting and surprising. Arthur breaks his glasses and the class raises money to pay for them. In the end Arthur doesn't have to pay for his glasses. In one part of the story Julio baby-sits two crazy twins. They are a lot of fun. This book is great .

It's about a boy named Julio and he wants to be class president, but he doesn't have any faith in himself so he gets his best friend, Lucas, to run for class president, instead. But then, the book goes into a totally different situation, which is a bake sale to pay for someone named Arnold's glasses that get broken in soccer. So as I said, the whole book starts to be about that. I don't want to tell you the ending, just in case you do read the book. I didn't really like this book that much, but I'm supposed to do it in school for my book club.

1.0 out of 5 stars I thought this book was kind of boring., June 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Class President (An Apple Paperback) (Paperback)
I read a book called Class President. This story is about some kids named Julio, Cricket and Lucas who are trying to get elected for class president. I give it a rating of one because there's not enough details on the book! There is no special part except when Cricket becomes Class President and every time Lucas tries to get elected Cricket gets another vote so Lucas wants revenge (but that's another story). Finally they all agree that Cricket is a better Class President. I just didn't think it was very interesting.
